2300 miles good to go so far on RHO

Drivers side CV boot failed at 300 miles. Goes in for new one tomorrow. No check engine lights but an old embedded permanent code for the ABS module has not cleared after 200 miles and I cannot get it smogged here in Cali until it resets. Otherwise the truck runs great.

Out of curiosity, how did you find/notice this? Are these boots full of lubricant and it leaked?

This is a forever problem with TRX... you would think they fixed it, huh.

Now I wonder if they fixed the driveshaft clunk.. I know they came out with fix last year but owners were still reporting issues after 5k miles.

Im near 2500 miles on my RHO, no clunk so far!

Out of curiosity, how did you find/notice this? Are these boots full of lubricant and it leaked?

Very easy to spot. When the boot leaks, you get literally a bomb of grease that slings around the entire wheel well and tire. I noticed mine while stopping for gas on my trip home from the dealership. Yes, it appears to be a common occurrence on the TRX. I will say it a huge mess to clean up.

Almost 1000 miles, which is mainly the road trip to get it from the dealership in Boise to San Diego. So far, so good!

You should add a few more categories, such as mechanical issues, electrical issues, cosmetic issues. Just selecting the "Yes" would make it seem like I have a problem with the entire truck, which is not true. I have cosmetic issues, my driver side door is misaligned, causing wind noise while driving. Mechanically and electrically, its been great so far. 650miles on it.

No mechanical issues at 400 miles so far, but they did have to correct the battery issue to get it out of the port and to the dealership. Once I got it home and in the garage I did notice quite a few alignment issues on body panels and for example the tailgate sits high on the left side, but low on the right bed side.

The other day my truck wouldn't start, it wasn't a battery issue. The engine would just crank and crank, it eventually turned on. Everything else has been minor electrical gremlins. I'm currently at 3300 miles.

ABS resulted in a permanent code for me, light never came on, mis aligned fend flares I fixed in about an hour. Minor issues so far.

2318 Miles

Loose trim screw - driver's rear fender flare. Fixed by dealer body shop in less than 5 minutes.
Two broken tabs on the driver's side rear reclining seat handle bezel. (Waiting on part to come in - Warranty Replacement.)

Zero mechanical issues.**

Ugh. Running at close to 1 in 6 trucks with issues - at least on this forum. Hoping that 2,000 people with problem free trucks are out there - and since they are happy as pigs in shit, they haven't visited this forum to weigh in! Only 65 in the survey - hopefully at 10 trucks that have had issue are here!
