I wrestled with this too. Pros and cons for both. The RHO is faster, and has far superior interior materials, overall construction, and a better transmission. But the RHO is a bit dated looking, has a lame selection of colors (where is stingray/lunar??) and despite the claimed 150 lb weight reduction over the TRX -- which seems like BS-- it remains about 500lbs heavier than a comparable Raptor - which will have long-term effects upon all of the drivetrain wear items. You've also got the difference between a 3.0L I6 pressurized to 28 psi vs. a 3.5L V6 with <18psi. Jury still out on durability. Also, unlike the Raptor, the RHO is incapable of being driven in 2wd. So outside of Baja mode, donuts are off the menu - if you care about that. To me, RAM missed an easy opportunity to truly distinguish the RHO from the TRX by making it a better daily driver - by giving buyers the option to select 2wd. The constant reciprocating drag of a 4wd system which is incapable of being fully disengaged is kind of a bummer, particularly on warm dry days just cruising on the highway. Not that anyone buys these types of trucks for gas mileage, but in my opinion, more than the boost happy engine, the lift, the big tires or the 6,500 curb weight, it is this transfer case which is causing the craptastic mileage. Just seems like a missed opportunity by RAM to have easily made this truck a better daily driver than the TRX. All that aside, for all of what you get on the RHO for the money, to me it is still the best deal going.
