App notifications while stuck in production

I set up the ram app a few weeks ago when i was told my truck was at final inspection for shits and giggles. It has sat there at inspection for over a month according to the dealer. The app has simply said "no location available" for the entire time. This morning i woke up to app notification and email saying my truck was throwing codes, had two trips on it and the location was at sterling heights. Looks like its finally heading to body vendor. The three codes were brakes, abs and blind spot detection (go figure) . Get a load of the trips they took. LOL. One makes sense, one doesnt. Mileage still says "1". Excited to have potential movement of leaving the factory and clearing inspection at last. Also nice to see all the tire PSI are decent (knock on wood).

i ended up calling them to set it up. wasn't as bad as i thought it would be!

this is so cool!! ended up activating it as well, but it seems my truck wasn't even started yet (tracker still shows In production)

Interesting. I just got off the phone 10 minutes ago and set it up no problem.

My tracker is still saying in production which we all know the tracker is not accurate. This past Friday, my dealer told me I was in JS status (Built and shipped to storage, awaiting rail car pickup) but not yet invoiced.

I guess it is invoiced now because I was able to set up the RAM app?

All this to say, I cannot yet see the location of the truck. Maybe I have to wait for it to be started again now that I have the appp connected.

yeah thats super weird, you are further along than me so i would assume it would show location. see if it updates!

They just told me they couldn’t add it to my account till I have a bill of sale or it’s at the dealer.

I didn’t set mine up until I had the truck because I didn’t wanna risk wasting free trials time on app. I believe it’s not free forever

makes sense! yes this was the downside to doing this is you only get 3 or 6 months free in the app. Figured it would be nice to track the truck while i wait and as it gets shipped to montana. peace of mind.

sounds great, thanks for the insight. i was wondering where the body vendor was, nice to know its across the street! i see it on google earth. Must have made it past final inspection if it showed up on the app and is moved outside to the train track shipping area. hopefully body vendor isn't too backed up.

They asked for bill of sale with VIN, which I don't have, but I sent them the order document. There they can find the vehicle VON. Then I sent them the screenshot of the tracker, where they can match the VON with VIN.

damn bro you must have gotten the Karen supreme LOL. they asked for my vin and name, took all of 1 minute. Not sure why its so tough for them, the vin/von is linked to your last name, you literally have to enter last name and von to see the tracker.
