Battery Dead

My local Ram dealer is 3 miles from me and I have a Ford Explorer ST as my work daily.

My RHO will sit in the garage with a tender on it 100 percent of the time. Hopefully they find the root cause and it will be an easy fix for us.

I want to walk. The problem is the RHO is my dream truck. I have a Rebel and the RHO is everything I wished the Rebel was. The RAM interior and the trucks comfort is just second to none IMO.

I’ll be picking mine up. The deal I have is too hard to pass up for this truck.

Good luck everyone.

I have not had battery problems but my dealer told me ram switched to some cheap Chinese batteries and that’s what they think it is.

Chinese batteries!!! Probably espionage equipment in the batteries!!

Hang in there, man! Like you, my trade in was a Rebel, 2020. It was fine, but I wasn't in love with it. Loved the looks of the TRX, but it's my daily driver, so single digit milage was a no go. Then came the RHO, and I knew it was for me! I've had mine 3 weeks, and absolutely love it!! I've had the blind spot indicator and the emergency braking flash errors come up. I cleaned the sensors off and errors went away. I'm cautiously optimistic about it!! Love my RHO so much that it's at the detailer for a few days getting PPF and ceramic coating. If all goes well with the truck, it's going to be a keeper for a while!!

Someone just posted about having uconnect error message, looks like the picture below. I had the same exact problem on my 22 backcountry. Everything was working fine until the dealer told me to get it fixed. Dealer tried to rest the TBM module but it didn't work, however after resting the TBM, it was killing my battery everyday. I remember waking up every morning to a dead battery. I took it back to the dealer and they decided to replace the module behind the screen "TBM". Everything went back to normal once they did that. Same battery, no issues. I am bring this up because my dealer told me that RAM receives a batch of faulty modules once in awhile, or just the TBM goes bad after awhile.

I bring this up because this might be the solution to the current owners. Seeing that error message still exist, confirms what my dealer said. Some faulty modules located behind the screen that causes the battery to die. That's why not all owners are experiencing

Half expecting to have a dead battery tomorrow, noticed tonight I was having a similar issue to when my battery died. Although I’m still getting at or above 14 volts, for the past few week it was constantly 14.4 to 14.6 volts no matter the throttle input. Tonight it was 14.0 to 14.2 volts, you can see in the video when I let off the throttle it goes up to 14.5 but then slowly goes back down to 14.2. We’ll see what happens in the morning. I went back out to the truck tonight to see if the dash was still on, only thing I saw was 2 usb port lights on. Anybody else notice that?

Okay. I’m one of the ones with two trips to dealer. Had it towed in the first time. Replaced batteries. 3 days later. Dead again. Took it back last Tuesday. I picked it up Saturday morning and it’s been good so far.

Service writer states they had harness routed incorrectly. Re-routed and then let it sit for few days and few short trips. All good as of today.

Waiting for him to email RO. But here’s the image they texted me. I’m fairly tech savvy and it doesn’t make sense to me how a bundle of wires going over or under another would create an electrical draw but I’m no engineer.

I checked location on app multiple times a day to attempt or duplicate it being an app issue. Hasn’t seem to affect it.

Techs words: “Found that harness had been improperly routed over the top of those pink wires, moved it underneath where it should be. That should take care of the electrical side of things…..I’m looking deeper into the misfires…. I’m going to need to let it sit over the weekend to verify that harness being moved fixed the no start….”

Have faith fam. We’re in warranty. Buy the extended for piece of mind after factory.
