Help me! To cancel or not . . .

Just get the RHO. I smile every time I walk into my garage and see my truck. Since you are considering it chances are you will have the same reaction. Then, get IGLA installed for a little peace of mind when you are out and about.
This. I started having some second thoughts and actually found a pristine 2023 TRX with 16,000 miles on it about 1.5 hrs away from me. Went and drove it, got the dealer down to a very reasonable price and ALMOST pulled the trigger. That was a Saturday. I drove back home and thought about it some more and decided to wait on my RHO to be built.

Let me tell you, the first time you get behind the wheel and drive this truck, you will absolutely realize that it was worth the wait! Ive had Raptors (F150 and Bronco), Porsches, Corvettes, M3's etc., and this damn truck is my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. The looks, performance, comfort and technology rolled into one truck just blows me away.

Good luck with whatever decision you guys on the fence ultimately make. I'll be enjoying driving this beast until something better comes along. You have me on your list about the new TRX still, right @AnthonyRI? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I agree get the RHO. Runnings errands last week (in the ol costco cruiser) my wife laughed at me because she said i always look back at my truck as we walk in places.
Guilty! My girlfriend gives me grief about that, too! :ROFLMAO:

I'm in the same boat sitting 'Built' since Feb 22nd. I was attracted to the RHO since its looks like the TRX but better gas mileage. Idc what others (TRX owners) say being a Baby TRX. It's so much better than the rest of the lineup by looks.
As of the battery if it happens to you and/or me when I get mine i'll just deal with it if it comes up. Good thing its just a battery. My 2014 ram sport I finally had to change the stock battery last year...got 10 years out of it! Ha even they were surprised when they were switching it out.
Do what you want but i'm sooo ready for mine too and can't wait!

After reading various issues on the forum, I previously considered exploring other options and returning to the RHO once those issues were resolved in 1-2 years. However, after checking the Ford, GM, Toyota, and Nissan forums, I found that they had even more reported problems than the RHO here.

Regarding the concerns with the RHO, they don’t seem too severe. The major issues I’ve noted in this forum are one hydrolock and a few cases of melted catalytic. Otherwise, most problems appear to be minor related to software or battery, which can be easily fixed.

My truck has been delivered to the dealer and I’ll be picking it up this weekend. I’m sure I will enjoy it just like the majority reported knowing that issues can arise in the future just like any other cars.

You will love it. The truck is awesome and there are always going to be hiccups but like others have stated that’s what warranties are for. Have had mine for 5 weeks now and I still get excited to drive it everyday.

Thank you. I didn't mean to imply that any single factor is driving my struggle - and certainly not viewing this as investment. But I'm truly on the fence here and a box checked in one column or the other might be enough to push one direction or the other. Plus, I'm an accountant! Depreciating at a bit lower rate is one of those considerations - but it is likely speculation.

I like exciting and fast stuff - always have. My other car is a C8 Corvette and a I drive a Nissan Titan now. So I have the low-key one covered currently. I'm just thinking through smiling on the way to work EVERY day instead of just smiling when I drive the C8. The RHO would do that to a large degree - but without taking the other issues into account, the TRX would make for a bigger smile IMO. It's just a matter of whether more money, little to no warranty and being a bit bigger target is worth that. Who knows . . .
My RHO makes me smile every day on my way to work! I considered a new TRX, but couldn’t justify well over a 6 figure price tag with (likely) single digit gas mileage for my daily driver. Personally, I wasn’t interested in a used TRX; not knowing how a previous owner had treated this type of vehicle was a no-go for me.
The RHO makes me happy: it’s fast enough, fun as hell, has a sweet interior, and a warranty!

Appreciate all of the feedback guys. Still struggling though . . . I was driving in to work today and remembering my wife telling me "I told you so" a couple of times when buying vehicles. 15+ years ago I bought a G8 GT and she said "you're going to want the GXP - you should have just spent the extra money.". She was right - I went went and bought a GXP after a year or so. Then it was an Audi S7 vs. RS7 . . . now a Corvette Z51 vs. Z06. These are good problems I suppose! I've come to the conclusion that I will love either one - but for different reasons. I am coming from a Nissan Titan - so either option will be a huge upgrade!

I love the RHO!! Full stop. Any “man made” things can have problems, you deal or fix them. Google any product, plus problems or issues, and you will find bad reviews. Get what you want and enjoy!! Life is too short! Live it!!

Why don't you just ask your wife which one to buy then? Seems she has a strong track record knowing what you want.

She just got a Wagoneer Series II Carbide - in the Jeep version of Forged Blue. So, I think she's set!

So since I posted, I found a very lightly used (7k miles) TRX Lunar Edition. I'm working out the deal now and am planning to pick it up on Saturday. Oddly enough, it was the posts about Bambi the stripper hunter that did it. You only go around once and I'm gonna try out the adrenaline rush of the TRX. If I decide it's too much, I'll sell it a year or two from now and pick up an RHO - hopefully after some of the gremlins slow and they offer a Ceramic Gray version! If it weren't for that color and the black bead lock wheels, I would be sticking with the RHO.

So, there will be a black RHO showing up at Koons that is not spoken for. At some point. If anyone is interested, please PM me and I can connect you with Brian and the vehicle deets.

Sounds like the right direction for you to go. If money isn’t an issue and you’ve decided TRX sound and power is the top priority… you probably will feel like you settled with a RHO.

Enjoy!
