I don’t know why they put their stickers on cars. There’s a dealer in Texas called Sewell that places a big, ugly metal “Sewell” emblem on the tailgate or trunk of every car they sell even if you tell them not to do so
Someone else gets to wear this badge of honor. Good luck Gentlemen!Yeah, they already have $2,000 in deposits from me, not giving them another $1,000. At this point (3 orders no truck) they need to get me a truck or give me back my $2k. Running out of patience.
Why 3rd order?Someone else gets to wear this badge of honor. I am officially out. My third order has been sitting in inspection for 41 days. Hard pass. Not taking ownership of a truck Ram cant build properly. Complete waste of 1 year. Good luck Gentlemen!
Day 1 order (4/25/24). When it was clear that Ram did not have line of sight on that order, I ordered again on Oct 31. Ram unilaterally added Level One to that order. Because of the f up I was told Ram would "prioritize"a 3rd order. Why 3rd order?
What deal did you get on your level 0? I have a suspicion that those that got really good deals the dealer is trying to piss off and have us back out of our orders because they no longer want to sell us those trucks at those prices.. they hoping we would back out of it… I have $12500 off and mine has been sitting in final inspection for going on week 6. Dealer said they are having bedliner issues that are causing the delay.Day 1 order (4/25/24). When it was clear that Ram did not have line of sight on that order, I ordered again on Oct 31. The usual MD deal. Could be bed liner issues. I ordered BUG.What deal did you get on your level 0? My original 5/1 L0 order has been sitting as ‘built’ for 45 days with no change. Only option I have on it is BUG.What deal did you get on your level 0? What did he damage? Which trucking company/dispatch are you working with?Still don’t have my truck. The driver damaged it in transit and parked it at a body shop. I used the gps from the app to find it. He was trying to get it repaired without telling anyone. Needless to say my blood pressure has been through the roof today. The dispatcher didn’t know about the damage and the driver won’t answer his phone now. I told the body shop to not give the driver access to my truck. I am a May 7th order.
I would demand to know exactly where it’s at. I know you said it’s on GPS. I would also insist on having it taken to a body shop of your choosing. If they will not, I would call the police and report report it stolen. Just out of curiosity where in Florida are you located?I am working with my dealership to fix the truck. There are scratches down the right side and damage above the front right tire. I don’t know the name of the dispatch company and the driver still has never called me. It’s in my name so I won’t except delivery until it’s perfect. Dispatch might be covering for him and sent him to the body shop.
Demand it stolen? This is a truck he doesn’t even own yet. I am so surprised Ram allows you guys GPS tracking on these vehicles that aren’t even sold yet. It gives you guys some weird sense of ownership to something you’ve not even completed a transaction for.I would demand to know exactly where it’s at. I know you said it’s on GPS. Yes, demand that it leave that body shop and yes, if they don’t do it report it stolen. (go there with the sheriff and pick up his truck that he did not authorize to be. There) I am under the understanding that it has arrived at the dealership and then it has left the dealership on a transport hired by the customer to deliver it to him. Therefore, the paperwork at the dealer has been done. It is his truck.Demand it stolen? This is a truck he doesn’t even own yet. I do like the idea of knowing the location and timeline for the truck I have on order, but also I’m seeing it cause a lot of additional anxiety for some potential buyers.
Hope it works out and the dealer takes good care of you on it. It stinks to wait for so long to be disappointed at the very end, but chances are you’ll have some options if you work with your dealer.
