How to disable Drivers assist on new RHO

for reference - I didnt dig too deep into the 5 subscription services - length of service from time of purchase etc .... owners can see from their RAM app (Connect Services Detail) ... so that would be 3 years (some of the other services have longer "trial" times - like performance.

What other features are in this subscription? Is it like Toyota where you need it for remote start or is this just for driver assist like the Tesla sub?
I don’t believe so. I guess we will find out (check’s calendar) in April.

That stuff pisses me off. I researched the hell out of this and there’s the app with conflicting information.

I’m personally rooting for the app to be the correct information as I’m sure you are too

looks like the remote-start, lock-unlock from RAM app is 3 months (under "assistance" which is different than the "driving assist" package ... although this part of the app might overlap with Phone as a Key functionality which isnt released yet -

I feel like that makes more sense and is more inline with Bluecruise

Does this mean my key fob remote won’t even work to lock or unlock my doors after 3 months?

No I have to believe this is just the remote start / lock / horn from the ram app on phone

Honestly, I love this feature. It is so great to start my truck while sitting on the pot, thinking about how I need to leave in a few minutes. Don't ask me how I know.

I will use remote start to cool the truck in the Florida summer every time I want to drive.
Once I install Compustar, then I will need that subscription, not Ram's.

I thought the Computstar sub was only if you wanted the drone service. Thought the app functionality was baked into price of product. Is this not so? Haven't had Compustar yet but this the way it was explained to me from local installer.

I prefer the old school as well. I like to set cruise to the speed I want to go, and then merge around slower traffic when I get close enough to do so.

I will be fuming if this is not an option on the RHO.
There is a youtube video from yesterday I think it was from one of the main guys who makes RHO videos and he asked the same thing. RAM contacted him and said there is no cruise control just the only two on the steering wheel.
Mine is on order so I hope this won't bug me.

I rented a vehicle in Utah September 2023, that had the adaptive cruise control ford navigator. Loved it so much. I bought two new vehicles and made sure that they have it also.

Thanks guys, we just like the old way for the cruise control. It just feels like the truck takes over while we have the cruise on and we fight the steering wheel all the time.
No need to fight the steering wheel if you use the left pod on the right side of the steering wheel. it only has distance control, no steering assist.

Frankly, I love the distance control function. It’s been out in CDJR products since 2014 & works pretty darn good. But, I get the challenges if the sensors get covered in snow or salt & you can no longer use cruise control. Maybe they don’t want you to “cruise” if the road conditions are poor?

The Ram steering assist cruise is terrible, IMHO. It “ping pongs” back & forth in the lane. There is no lane change feature. Of course, I’m accustomed to the Autopilot system in my wife’s Tesla that is on a completely different level. It’s a 13th generation system vs. Ram’s 1st generation.
