Interest rates

How were you able to sign up on the website? Or did you call? May have to call monday. Thanks!
I registered online. It was easy. I did call their customer service to make sure all was good and the rep I got was excellent. I have been unable to login all day, apparently they are having some significant technical issue with their website and app today.

It's working now

I’ve got a cousin that was in the Navy. How close does family need to be to qualify?

I got a cousin too, thought it would be a stretch 😂

Anyone going to the bank and starting the finance portion once they get their vin number?

What is RAM offering right now for finance rates? I’m sure it’s still cheaper to go through them credit union?

I got my VIN on May 13. Lolol. That's a big negative. When you get your one-week delivery notice, you can look into financing.

Update for everyone on Navy Federal, i got it figured and set up my savings account with Navy Fed and got approved. Easy as can be, no documentation was required besides my drivers license. I saw the auto loan application for "pre approval" and decided to wait until my truck is actually scheduled and almost built to avoid a double credit pull months or years (lol) apart.

Just remember to sign your forms that they mail out, you can scan and chat with them to submit them. I had to fill out a few, that had never showed up. They can be found with their main site search function. https://www.navyfederal.org/search.html?q=97ci

Membership Agreement is required, adding your spouse might not be. I prefer sleep with both eyes closed though, so I played it safe ;)

Ram has 4.9 on their website, not good, but not terrible, for all their trucks (except RHO of course) but maybe it’s because it’s not even released yet?

It's in lieu of the cash rebates - which in most cases are a minimum of $4K, RHO doesn't have the rebates so it also does not have the incentivised rates.

This is what is often lost in assumptions/translation - again not really applicable to RHO but educational none the less
There is a certain amount of $ that the marketing arm of RAM puts in to the market (can vary by region, too).
They can do it with cash rebates, subvented lease programming, and promo APRs.
In different parts of the country, you will see different emphasis on those different tactics. In a lot of cases, all three will exist at the same time, but you'll only HEAR about one or the other.

The key is to do the homework and compare each scenario end to end.

A customer of ours did some math and created this table a year or two ago, his explanation here:
"If anyone is trying to figure out whether the financing promotion is better than the cash incentive, you can use this table. The values in the table are the amounts that you would save given different scenarios. If the cash incentive offered by RAM is bigger than the amount in the table, it's likely better to take the cash incentive.
You'll need to know what interest rate you can obtain on your own (not using the incentive promotional rate.) For example, let's assume you'll need a loan for $50,000 and you qualify for a 7% interest rate on a 5 year term through your bank or a Credit Union. Enter the table from the left at $50,000 and 7%, and go across to the corresponding promotional rate from RAM (in this case, assume it's 3.9% for 5 years). This tells you that your benefit from this promotional rate will be $4,289. If the cash incentive is lower than this amount, the financing offer might be better for you. But if the cash incentive is bigger, taking the cash incentive is likely better." (my note - "on your own" doesn't have to mean outside the dealership, jsut means not using the promo apr)

Solid rate table!

@AnthonyRI any word yet on Tread Lightly discount? I've seen nothing anywhere listing a moratorium on it, and from what I've seen even Grand Waggoneers appear to be included...so....gimmie gimmie ;)

I'm going to take a wild guess, that you have not heard anything regarding it yet, should know more in coming weeks and you recommend we get it set up now so that it's effective beyond the 30 day threshold, and worst-case scenario our money goes to a valuable cause for a reasonable sum.

Nothing on that.
If they were going to allow affiliate to be on RHO, today it would look exactly as it does.
If they were NOT going to allow affiliate on RHO, today it would look exactly as it does.

If you haven't joined tread lightly, it is still a very good option.
Very nice T-Shirt.
Very nice sticker
Plenty of other discounts
Oh and it IS a charity.

And it works on all other CDJR vehicles so when your better half is jealous of your new truck and you need to order a Grand Cherokee... it will help you there too.
