Hey yall.. I picked up my truck a few hours ago and truck has 51 miles.. driving on the highway engine started to shake hard under any acceleration and then 20 seconds later engine died and headlights turned off at 65mph leaving my wife and I stranded on the side of a highway, lucky had a spot to roll into off the side of the road. As soon as engine died something sounded like it was flapping under the hood, like something broke loose. Won’t crank over.

Wow I really wanna bail now, sorry man hopefully you guys are good

Sorry to hear that, and there are people here that think it's all fun and games. It's a serious issue and there are going to be more people coming forward as more people take deliveries. Keep us posted and stay safe bro.

Man, I’m so sorry to hear that. Best wishes for a safe trip home. Keep us posted

Yup indeed, I have a new truck 86k sitting in my driveway and not able to enjoy it. Ain't dropping off at the dealer until they have a remedy. I'll store it at home in a safe environment.

Wow. That sounds like the charging system wasn’t working which is different than power drained when off?????

This is insane. I don’t believe this is only happening to non you tubers. Why the hell are there no YT peeps talking about this? Oh that’s right. Terms of press release loaners stating no negative PR. SMH

So sorry about this. Ram has to do better.
Why? They're able to pretend everything is fine and have a list of dumbasses like us trying to pay them $85k for vehicles they a) seem incapable of building and b) even once built are riddled with serious and dangerous issues.

They have no incentive to do better.

Ram trucks are good and reliable my 2022 had no issues. Based on that my confidence carried over, but the issues some of us are having are insane for a truck at this price point!

Was the dealership still open when this happened?

Did you happen to open the hood and look to see if you could find anything loose?
I looked but I didn’t see anything.. that was my first thought too, something didn’t get clicked in place and shook loose

Dealership closed but they have a key drop off box. Tow truck company called service director and he told them what to do with truck and key.

I bet you want to tell the service director what he can do with the key!

On the other hand, you could literally just leave the key in the truck and rest assured that nobody could drive away with it.

Hopefully they get you squared away fast and your new year starts off better!
