May-April-June orders… who still isn’t scheduled?

We will likely never know what happened to our April and early May orders. it's a shame really. Buddy of mine order 11/14. His went into production on 12/11. My April 25th order sits unscheduled.

May 1st here - still sitting unscheduled. Went to D status on May 3rd and hasn't moved since. 🤮

May 31st and still in D status.........

May 24 no change from D status since then.
This is a case study for how to take enthusiasts who follow your brand, are excited about a new product, commit early to buy, then by design or incompetence erode that enthusiasm into a discouraged and angry group. Are they ignoring us or do they hate us for some reason? It makes no business sense. I can't believe that no one at Ram is looking at this forum and seeing the consistent theme across most threads, that these early orders seem abandoned, while new orders, and worse, 2nd orders get picked up. MD is great, but does Ram want to convert me into a repeat Ram buyer? Apparently not.

It has to be like a glitch in the system or something, I can think of no motive that would purposefully prevent our builds.

I agree that it is likely not deliberate as that makes no sense. However, at some point incompetence and outcomes are indistinguishable from purposeful. How is management not tracking order throughput by month, average order wait times, aging backlog, etc? Do they not have basic reporting? This should not take months to notice and rectify, if they care.

Tim Esterdahls truck on the way to MD.

ITS NOT YOUR MONEY. ITS WHOM YOU LNOW AT RAM

RAM has a typical social class structure to the orders. If you are important to them invite them to Detroit for parties RAM they perform favors

I guess we are the lower class to them 😱

Maybe dealers are preventing movement on early orders so that you would place a second order and they can add your first order to inventory 🤨.

The only thing I know is the old proverb

“Actions speak louder than words”

They give an initial email of “Welcome to the Ram Family” but treat some of us as step children😱🤔

But life is never fair 🤣

Still waiting. Excitement completely gone. Actually had to buy a 2023 Rebel while I’m waiting. At this point I’m over it, I don’t care if it ever gets built, started questioning color choices now that I’m seeing them out. Extremely disappointing process.

Mine isn't as late as yours. I am July 26th, but I am extremely frustrated. Seeing ones ordered in Nov and then being delivered, makes me feel early orders are long forgotten. It's been so long I put in for a color change, since the one I wanted is now available and no response to the request. I am starting to regret doing this, if this is the level of customer service we can expect from RAM. This is no reflection on Mark Dodge as the have been great.

This situation is unfortunately very common with many car companies. Two years ago my wife wanted a metallic green Kia Telluride (rare color combo) so we ordered one, waited a year and watched people that ordered behind us get cars in a few months. We abandoned the process after a year and found an almost identical one to what we ordered on a dealer lot 1500 miles away so bought it and made a road trip to bring it home. I ordered my RHO in early May and have been lucky to have it built but now sitting three weeks waiting for it to go into the shipping process. I agree that the process here just reeks of being unfair and causing a lot of loyal folks to abandon Ram.

April 27th hydro blue still just confirmed. I placed second order last week knowing at this point i will get my first refund back. Ordered same truck just different color as my color change request was not approved. I will update if my second order goes into production
What color did you switch to? I have Hydro blue on order too. Since May 8, no movement. If I re-order in February, I was thinking about red. I actually saw one in person and it looked fantastic. Normally not a red guy but....

i switched to Granite crystal. btw my new order is now scheduled 2 weeks after placing it. literally the same truck with different color. my buddy placed a hydro blue order with level 1 3 weeks ago his is now scheduled for build also.

May 8 order, D status May 10. Nothing since. If it wasn’t for Mark Dodge having my $1,000 dollars I’d probably cancel my order. Very disappointed with Ram. We’re a lifelong Mopar family going back to 1973 (not that it really matters) but, I’m pretty “ehh” about the RHO now. If no one was getting their truck it would be one thing, but when people that ordered 6-7 months after the early birds are scheduled, in production, or have taken delivery already, and the early birds are still hearing crickets - that’s really bad form on Ram’s part.

I believe we have to wait 9 months with no movement before we can get our money back from Mark Dodge. That puts me around February 8. I went with Mark Dodge based on price and reputation. Plus my local dealers were either ignorant of the RHO, told me to pound sand, or ghosted me when I was trying to order my truck. The whole process has been a bit of a shit show - and we’ve custom ordered multiple cars and trucks over the years. We’ll see what happens, I guess. Just frustrated and venting. Rant off. 😆

Does anyone know if getting your deposit back after 9 months is Ram policy or Mark dodge policy? My local dealer who I ordered from doesn’t know anything about that.

Can't speak for Ram, but it's specifically provided for in the paperwork you sign when you order from Mark Dodge.

I’m late April with no movement. I’m really starting to think I’d be better off canceling my order.
It would piss me off to give up my 1G.
I have a 2023 paid off Rebel that I’m going to sell and dump towards the RHO and I’m losing money every month I hang on to it.
Maybe by the time mine gets built a lot of the bugs will be worked out. That’s how I keep from getting pissed off about this.
