Man between all the reviews, there sure are a lot of variances on truck weight. MT has it at 6638 pounds, Car and Driver has it at an estimate 6500 pounds, and Road and Track has it at 6283 pounds, so which is it, lol.
Agreed, but I also have a 24 M3, so I'm used to the I6 sound, I dig it.Thanks for sharing!! I like the sound of an inline 6 so it will be interesting on our first test drive to decide if we buy it or not.
Chris
I believe it’s the lower one. A lot of them are getting the mpg wrong too. Using the old information from ram website before true EPA came out.Man between all the reviews, there sure are a lot of variances on truck weight. Thanks, kinda what I was thinking as well, appreciate it.I believe it’s the lower one. A lot of them are getting the mpg wrong too. Using the old information from ram website before true EPA came out.
He was at 6000' elevation(later corrected, elevation is wrong, but i stand by the rest of what i said), I think he should lower the launch control from 4k so that he's not already out of peak torque, and he didn't really give a chance for the boost to build. Just my 2 cents.Thinking more and more about recent TFL review. The 0-60 test was over 5 seconds, but they used Sport. Doesn't Baja mode mean the truck shifts at 4500 RPMs, and wouldn't that improve the 0-60? And if so, wouldn't TFL know that? I can't recall if he mentioned launch mode. They mentioned in the video that there were "hard to get" discounts. They know the discounts aren't hard to get. In their blog 6 months ago, Roman was hating on the truck and Andre seemed favorable. Andre's tone now is "meh." I can't shake the feeling that they're intentionally down-playing the truck. Am I wrong here? Anyone else getting similar vibes.
Not that it matters. Just passing time until the trucks roll in.
By the way, the review from the Rebelle Rally driver is pretty cool. I'm sure it's already been posted, but in case you need something to rinse your mouth out after the TFL video like I did...
2025 Ram 1500 RHO First Drive Review: So Good You Don’t Need a Hellcat V8
The TRX and its supercharged Hemi are gone, but the new RHO's twin-turbo inline-six has plenty of power to complement the truck's stellar fundamentals.www.thedrive.com
Baja mode would not improve 0-60. You’re going to redline for that and Baja just minimum shifts at 4500 rpm. Max HP is at 5700rpm. The times may have been inflated from ram on this one unlike the trx. They say only .1 seconds slower than the trx but the trx hit 60 in 3.7 seconds.Thinking more and more about recent TFL review. If they were home in Colorado they would be close to that but they are in Detroit. That’s 600 feet elevation. He was at 6000' elevation, I think he should lower the launch control from 4k so that he's not already out of peak torque, and he didn't really give a chance for the boost to build. Got it. Antsy to see other speed tests and get a sense of what it actually is.Baja mode would not improve 0-60. You’re going to redline for that and Baja just minimum shifts at 4500 rpm. Unfortunately they have yet to provide an actual result, just an estimate. Hope that's coming soon.IMO, Car&Driver is one of the few magazines with drivers talented enough to actually get representative performance numbers, everything else is akin to the average guy off the street recording times.
I think its legit 150 pounds lighter than the TRX, which are different everywhere you look too. Lolol.Man between all the reviews, there sure are a lot of variances on truck weight. haha exactly, just give me the right numbersI think its legit 150 pounds lighter than the TRX, which are different everywhere you look too. Lolol.
good point, could have sworn he said 6k, my fault. My other opinions still stand! If they were home in Colorado they would be close to that but they are in Detroit. That’s 600 feet elevation.
