I think many folks get too hooked on the numbers. Yes, a few may have valid reasons for “needing” those numbers, like payload or towing for their personal needs.
C&D summed up their initial impression best. It’s a better handling, better riding version of the TRX, but without the “theater” of a supercharged V8.
I like V8 theater, but could never justify 12 MPG…15 MPG doesn’t sound much better, but it’s a 25% improvement!
For those hooked on 0-60 times, we all know it’s not going to feel like a Tesla in Ludicrous mode, but it’s going to have some decent zip. An M3 competition engine sound on the inside may not be what this segment’s customers want or expect, but it’s better than a new Chevy 2.7L 4 cylinder, which sounds exactly like my sister’s 1st car…a ‘78 Datsun B210.
