Misfiring after 475 miles

What did you end up getting?
I'm going to stick with my Trail Boss 3.0 Duramax a little bit longer it has about 10000 left on warranty (so couple more months) and then I plan on getting either a Zr2 with the 3.0 or a At4. Damn it I just wish they had a little more get up and go. I guess it's a trade off for fuel economy. My tracker on the RHO updated today to production. I'm torn I like the looks and potential performance of the RHO but it would have to be a second vehicle if I do decide to take it. I wouldn't trust it as a daily driver and then there's the horrible fuel mileage. Maybe I'll be able to afford a second vehicle by the time the RHO arrives. That's a big maybe though.

Just general FYI for those that might care. I’ve had the RHO for a few weeks. Took the vehicle to dealer today as check engine came on this morning. Code came up as catalyst system low efficiency and multiple love voltage / battery shorts. They were able to clear the codes and took it for a drive during which they had multiple misfires. Vehicle has 472 miles. More to come
My 2025 Rebel did the same thing @1500 miles. Started with a slight misfire to not starting. Truck said on but not in park, but was running. They had to replace both battery, reprogram the system. After they started it for the 1st time had to disconnect the neg side of batter for 20 mins to clear system of a corrupt code that is downloaded for the wifi temp subscription. The TCM or TMC on the motor was doing a negative draw off the battery. Not sure just what I was told. Truck runs fine now.

Don’t know if this is at all related, but I’ve plugged my RHO into a charger/tender twice in 2 weeks. Both times, it went thru a full 24+ hour conditioning & charge cycle. Odd, as my previous experience has been for it to go “full float” within an hour if the battery was well charged from the start.

Both my batteries were replaced during PDI. Production date was 10/2024, so were both batteries defective or did some current draw from the truck drain them down too much? IDK.

How it was put to me was there was a corrupt code that was downloaded dealing with the wifi causing the TMC on the motor to neg draw on the ox battier. Even tho both battles showed good. The ox battles was bad. They had to clear out all programs replace both battery and download programs again. Then disconnect the neg side of the ox battles for 20 mins to reset the code. I am not a mechanic so only know what I was told. Good luck.

Update: they are saying they scoped the catalyst and there is what looks to be “fibrous material” in there and that it’s “pretty destroyed”. They are going to replace both via Mopar.

I am throwing a low voltage code as well. Can you tell me what codes your truck is throwing? My truck goes in Monday. Started throwing code at 172 miles.
Update. Truck went into dealership yesterday. code was U12B4-00. something along the lines of lost dual battery connection.
notes state "Service manual not helping. tested both batteries, Aux battery fails performance test. replaced Aux battery."

Check engine light is now off. have driven about 20 miles since I had the truck back. no other issues. I hope that was just a small anomaly and we are good to go for many thousands of miles...

Why these batteries are failing? This is applies to most of the 1500

I read somewhere that the wifi and/or dash was consuming power after truck shuts down killing the battery. It was a result of poor programming thus replacing the battery and software update.

Might also explain why some trucks are stuck at the body vendor with a dead battery waiting for their stickers, running boards, etc.

This makes sense. It happened to me with old 1500 before replacing infotainment module

You guys are scaring the heck out of me. Now I feel better that my May 8 confirmation hasn't moved. SMH. Geez.
That's what I'm thinking. Sitting here looking at my 2022 Sierra that's never had a single inkling of a problem...

Fibrous material, batteries failing, electrical issues, blind spot sensors. There aren't that many trucks delivered for this to be a small sample.

Not gonna lie, I was looking at AZ lemon law last night.

I don’t expect this to become a nightmare (heck, I haven’t had my 1st service visit yet), but it doesn’t hurt to have the appropriate documentation in order if Ram can’t fix this stuff in a reasonable & timely manner.
