Anyone plan to, or already get a Mopar extended warranty plan for their RHO? What’s a good price? I’m looking into an 85-100k mile plan. Figured it would be nice to have some extra peace of mind with this new rig.

I'll certainly be looking into it

I agree completely! The L1 group could be costly to repair after the factory warranty expires.

I just purchased the Mopar Max Car plan with my RHO from the dealer. I got 85,000 and 8 years with a $200 deductible. I priced the warranty out ahead of time from Granger Motors online and took that price to the dealer which they matched. Here is the website... Hope this helps.

What model did you put in? RHO isnt available...

Is the Mopar Max Care plan pretty much bumper-to-bumper coverage?

Thanks for sharing this helpful information OP!

Something to keep in mind…this warranty is available up until you reach the end of the factory warranty.

What I’ve done in the past:

See how the vehicle performs in the 1st 3 years/36K miles…I’ve rarely had problems with a trouble-free vehicle, even after the warranty expires. And, when I’ve had a problem plagued vehicle…well, they don’t stay in my garage long. So, I’ve never had a situation in 30+ new vehicles purchased/owned over the last 38 years of my life where I’ve said, “Dang, I shoulda gotten the warranty”.

Well, I did buy one on a VW Touareg that needed at least one $1000+ mechanical or electronic repair each year during its factory warranty period. But being a German car of that era, those repairs were almost considered “normal” wear /tear. I ended up getting a full refund on the warranty because we traded the vehicle within 2 months of purchasing the plan.

What I did on my 1500 was get maintenance plan 10 years 100k miles ( $1000 ) and let me tell you it was worth it just for oil changes. Plus they did cabin filters all fluids and sparks plugs were going to be covered at 100k but I only got to 62k miles after almost 3 years. Never decided to get max care because had 0 problems before 36k and still got 0 but rho different animal.

Will have to ask my brother if something similar available for rho.

Yeah I had a maintenance plan on my last Audi and that thing was a no-brainer. Would definitely do something like that again.

I plan on getting the Max 125,000mil /w $100 deductible, maybe $0 if the price is right...

After spending approximately $90K on a their vehicle, RAM better vacuum the leftover farts out of the seats when I bring it by!!!

Gross!

But, I 1000% agree with getting an extended warranty if you keep it beyond 3/36K. It may be “just a pickup”, but these things are crazy complex. They keep adding feature after feature…so much electronic craziness. I wish they could just go back to basics…I don’t need physical keys AND a key card AND phone as key…but, we aren’t going back to the good old days anytime soon.
