RHO Level 0 Discussion

Facebook group mentions that new Level 0 orders (after 10/30) have not received the Ram "welcome" email, not been assigned VINs, and reflect " There’s currently no information about your vehicle available" on the tracker. I used to say "Ram is good at taking orders, but bad at building trucks." Now, it appears they are not good at either.

L0…anyone have any new information? Is Ram going to build them?

Have ANY base orders seen motion at all??

I'm on the E-Shop site and see one heading to Karl Klement Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. It's status is 'Being built - sale pending'. With an MSRP of 73K, I figure it's got to be a Level 0.

Edit: I've gone through probably half of the current RHOs shown and have seen five that appear to be Level 0 - all MSRP of 73,180. All of them are black. Interestingly enough, Mark Dodge is getting two of them. They're also getting a ton of Level 1s - I didn't count but would guess there are 30 - 40 listed there.

All 9 level 0’s on e-shop have been there for 2 months. They aren’t being built unfortunately. They got pulled.

Just trim the price to 80k max and it will show you all the level 0’s

I'm interested in how you know this. Is there some other site I need to monitor?

Anthony let us know a while ago the L0’s that made it to production ended up getting pulled because there is some delay with them from ram. Those 9 have always been there since production started. Since then, only L1’s have been scheduled and built and added to e-shop

Do you think Ford would sell us 10 Raptors for the price of a Level 0 if we all team up?

Ok…this is a long one, but I promise it will be worth it for L0 pre-order “victims”.

Caveat: This is solely my opinion based on observation, facts and some realistic assumptions. But, I’ve got a pretty good track record on this stuff.

Oberservation: Yesterday, I visited my local Ram dealer to see my 1st RHO in the flesh. It was an ordered L1 truck that was passed over by the original buyer as he did not care for the color (uh-huh). During my visit, at least a half dozen enthusiasts admired the truck and made positive comments. One asked if it was for sale. The answer was “We have a buyer making a deal with two individuals on stand-by if that buyer passes.” It was sold before I left.

Fact: Stellantis just had a disasterous earning call. Something like a 48% drop in profitability. Do you think they want to improve their profitability? Absolutely! Does an L1 RHO represent more revenue & profit to Stellantis? Very likely.

Fact: The vast majority of pre-orders have been L1. I would make an educated guess they have at least 2,000 L1 pre-orders waiting to be built or shipped. If an L1 buyer drops out, are they worried about selling that truck? Based on my previous observation, no.

Current discussion: Ram has told a dealer that L0 orders will be delayed, but no ETA or specific reason provided. Hmmmm…

Conclusion: Until Ram has a significant number of unsold L1 RHOs on the ground, L0 will remain an enigma. Let’s face it…if Ram was your business, would you waste time building a less profitable “L0 widget”, when you have a waiting list for your more profitable “L1 widget”?

How long will this take? 3 months, 6 months, 12 months? IDK. And, will Ram likely increase the price at some point in the future? Absolutely.

So, if you can wait an indefinite amount of time & you work too hard for your $$ to spend another $10K for stuff you don’t care about, wait it out & hold on to your pre-order pricing. Just keep in mind, if they don’t build any until 2026 model year (I sure hope that is not the case), you will likely be subject to 2026 L0 pricing.

They started building one and pulled it off the line mid build unfinished, don't think your conspiracy theory is lining up just based on that information alone lol

Like I said, only my opinion…no conspiracy theories here. But, my conclusion makes quite a bit of sense based on what we’ve seen, what we know, and how business works.

Hope I’m wrong…

While the logic makes sense, I think that if that was the strategy, they would only build the most profitable models and not build lower profit models. If that were the case, a Tradesman model would never be built until all RHO's and Tungsten models were built as I am certain there's a lot more profit margin for the highest dollar models. I do agree that Ram should communicate these delays with the L0 customers and give us some options to upgrade, get deposits refunded, etc., or reassure us that the delays aren't going to be significant to the point you are suggesting and we are fearing (MY 2026, orders being scrapped, etc.). I would also think if stopping the bleeding is top priority, they are not going to want to lose pre-committed orders...

I want to point out that I don’t see where there could be a supply issue here as well. If they don’t have the screens then why aren’t bighorn / Laramie / limited anything that has 12” option delayed? If it were the alpine sound system, same thing applies. There doesn’t seem to be anything on the L0 RHO that is different from the L1 and at the same time different from many other trim models that could be causing a delay.

It could be something dumb like a piece of door trim.

Well, I guess that is a big part of the problem. Ram/Stellantis has done NOTHING to give us ANY confidence in them by doing such a piss poor job of providing any updates or information explaining the delays, it's very easy and natural to jump to the conclusion that they are hiding something. Whether they effed some part/order up or are just going for the most profit per unit that they can produce to slap a bandage on the profit they are hemorrhaging - we can only guess. I'm thinking they told the dealers that they won't start producing any L0s until the start of the new year or the end of 2025 Q1 so that they can maximize profit on each RHO unit. They're probably doing something similar with each vehicle, especially here in the states where they took such a huge hit in sales/profit.
