What's new

Put a second order in for a RHO..

And that is why I placed a new order.
If you’ve received a VIN for your new order, can you share what group it’s in? First three digits of the serial number at the end (after 1C6SRFUP_SN)

@Eighty btw thanks alot for doing the window sticker scans. Imo that gives us the best outlook on what the factory is putting out.

Ok I see, I'm 573

Are y’all talking about your VIN group, or your VON?
I didn't think the last numbers on the Vin are vehicle specific are they? Could be other vehicles in that plant being produced? Been awhile since I looked up vin decoding

For the RHO, all VINs will start with 1C6SRFUP. Then there’s a mathematically calculated digit (the check digit), then “SN” for the 2025 model year from SHAP. And the last 6 digits are the serial number, starting at 500001 for MY2025.
Since the RHO comes from a plant that makes other trims, the serial numbers are shared with the other trims. For example, serial number 512893 is a Bighorn.

Looks like the RHO orders weren’t accepted until Ram had 73,000 other orders in the system. That’s why the early THO orders start at 573xxx. The highest RHO serial number I’ve seen so far is in the 626 group, which is about 53,000 serial numbers (or 53,000 VINs) later. If that makes sense.

Checked both my orders and they are 566.. April 27th order

586..
@Eighty how often you'll been doing this? Asking for a friend

So all the RHO vins have "surfs up" in them? Tubular 🤙

Complete

I was originally 574 but they killed my original order because of a slip up on their end and now it’s 639. I didn’t even think to look at the VIN# difference between the original order and the new order they gave me. It’s a weird situation my new VON# begins with CN @Eighty have you heard of that happening?

Took me a minute to figure out what the heck you were saying. Guess I never noticed that before. I’ve seen the TRX sequence for so long, the new RHO one just seems odd and awkward lol.
The TRX is 1C6SRFU9 (the 9 is the engine code for the 6.2L SRT engine).

after waiting for my May 8th order to have any kind of movement for 6 months, I placed a second identical order a couples days ago just with forged blue instead of white now.. sounds like April and May are forgotten and I’m going to take my chances with a second fresh order. Got a second VIN and now both trucks are in the same D status.
I did the exact same thing 3 or 4 weeks ago… originally ordered on May 8, in white… called my dealership and asked if I could change to Forged Blue, otherwise all the same details as the white one, told him that I suspected my May 8 order may never see the light of day. They didn’t mind putting in the second order and said when they showed up I could choose whichever, he seemed to think they’d both arrive within a few weeks of each other. Now both orders are in D status and hopefully at least one gets made at some point!

Dealers love it when people do that. They get to sell the extra truck (that bypasses allocation restrictions, if the truck is in high demand). And they get to keep the deposit, if it isn’t refundable.

Supposedly I went back to D status from D1 and now I’m back in D1…. Think I’ll get mine? 🤨 Tracker never changed at all when reverted. Just continued to say scheduled. This is as of today too.

5733 vin here - April 25th unscheduled order D status - very interested in this 2nd order experiment.
