RHO theft already started!!

I'm not familiar with any of these anti theft systems or the companies that sell them. What don't you like about IGLA's business model?
MY primary issue is: They won't tell you or let you pick where you get it installed at. Should I have an issue down the line with it, a short in the system or myriad of other problems that can arise I could be left with a brick of a vehicle and having to pay someone to Mr. Magoo around to find and remove it.

Secondly, I don't want to use a key and like the cell phone key option BUT most installers won't let me setup the phone option for my own security.

I like control of what goes in my vehicles and how it's done. Their policy and procedures aren't suited to someone that is like-minded and plans to keep their vehicle for the duration.

I do have several friends with IGLA in their TRX and Hellcats but some have had issues and there is only one shop here locally that does them. If I have an issue and guy no longer is in business, then I'd be stuck driving to another state.

I'm for sure throwing on the side bed decals to let it be known I have an RHO and not TRX 😂
used trx $60-$90k
new RHO: $75-95k

I dont think it will be much of a deterrent LOL. High end vehicles are high end vehicles.

I can understand your perspective on this. I don’t like the fact that I don’t know where mine is installed.
I can understand your perspective on this. I don’t like the fact that I don’t know where mine is installed either. But it makes sense that it is a closely held secret. If they told the owners, then almost surely some jackass would post it on the internet and immediately weaken the security for everyone else. So I’m at peace with it.

Sad its come to this in this country. 99% of places, you need one of these IGLA installed or your fucked.. I feel like im in one of the last places where you don't NEED one of these. i rarely even lock my cars in my driveway due to how safe it is. But i do worry for when i travel. May be worth the piece of mind. Especially if things continue to get worse and Montana gets over run by thieves. Never had an issue with my raptor traveling and keeping my keys in faraday bag but i know ram are even easier to steal.

For those who don’t like IGLA, going old-school might be a good option.

Ohh that’s how those are used … I thought you just beat the piss outa the guy trying to break in

Can anyone tell me what would be wrong with a fuel interrupt. Be it electric or electric over mechanical with hidden or remote switch. Possibly even passcode. Yes I know it could be towed but so can the others.

That would make sense, but I offered to remove my panels, seats and point to location for install, so it would be unique 100 to my application and was told they would do that. It feels like if I paid a security company to install CCTV and they hid the recording device and wouldn't tell me where it was.

If the Ampire goes sideways, I'll just move it into another vehicle and adopt the IGLA way of things. I just have a hard time paying someone for a job and them not help me in any real way should I have an issue down the way. Is the security worth being locked out of my own vehicle?

I haven’t had any problems with mine, but I’m 100% sure I’d get support from @Air’d outSRT if I had any problems (he also happens to be the one who installed mine). He helps people around the country with their issues, including hooking them up with local installers and helping those installers troubleshoot.
I can’t think of another security company with that kind of support. To be honest, it’s hard to think of ANY other company with that kind of support.

Sounds like the security needs list is similar to ...
IGLA
Hidden Fuel cut off
Lockbox on fuse box
Headache Rack with full mesh covering window
Removable Gas Pedal
OBD Lock
Claymore under drivers seat tied to door switch
I think the "removeable gas pedal" is a little much don't ya think? :ROFLMAO:

He's a great guy and if he did the install, I'd definitely not be worried. Unfortunately, his fly out and install pricing just makes it a non-starter for my budget. There is only one guy in my state that does IGLA and after talking with him, I felt as comforted as crochet blanket in -2 degrees

100% REMOVABLE GAS PEDAL FOR THE WIN!

Odds I fabricate that...probably not zero :ROFLMAO:

I like the claymore but I have kids and dogs plus a wife that'd be pissed if they lost some appendages.

But a lot of the thieves were/are focusing on vehicles with supercharged motors - anything with a Hellcat motor, GM LT4s, etc. My LT4 CTS-V was stolen in June. The RHO may be a case of mistaken identity. A $200K S-Class Mercedes is high end but not stolen anywhere near as much because few thieves care.

Ok on a serious note,

Does anyone have any updates on IGLA being fully compatible(tried and tested) on the RHO? I've seen one or two social media posts from shops claiming they successfully installed it. I'm getting my truck soon, and being from Los Angeles, auto thefts are rampant. I'm already booked for front ppf and ceramic tint, but I feel I should get the security in place first!

If anyone has any updates, or has already invested in something similar, please do share!
