So it looks like my hood wasn't aligned properly. The truck will be dropped off tomorrow morning and the guy said 3 weeks?!? I called my dealer and said no this is a priority job so it won't take that long. Cost estimated at $2.200. Not out of my pocket of course.

It’s not a 10 minute job. Both the hood and the fender will have to be straightened and adjusted for clearance and proper alignment. Removed painted refit and possibly blending with the door and a pillar.

The prep, paint and cure time aren't nothing. Even if they put yours first it would still realistically be a couple weeks, depending on how much blending they'd deem necessary. They probably aren't going to just hammer it back into place but replace the panel and hood (that'd be my guess).

Hard to say. It’s not that much metal working to do and either way repair or replacement you would have to align for proper fit and clearance. Metal repair would save them the expense of new panels. Not to mention the fact that new panels may also need repair or tweaking. Things happen in shipping. Personally I don’t think they will replace as that is added delay complication and work.

Hammering sheet goods seems to be a dying art that is found more in the paintless dent repair industry, at least in my neck of the woods. Panel replacement would be faster than repair though. How RAM has them do warranty repairs, I haven't a clue but usually the man hours of pull repair and replace can outweigh straight removal, replacement as the replacements will also be paint ready (shaving hours off prep).

I had a brand new car with a misaligned hood. They literally had me wait 10 minutes without leaving for them to fix the issue. This may not be case with every hood alignment and I wasn’t aware of paint touch up issues

Your case is different. They opened his hood directly into the quarter panel. If you look at his pics, it bent the F out quarter panel and hood something fierce. Kind of looked like some smart guy tried to open the hood with a crowbar from the wrong side.

I didn’t see earlier post or photos, I only saw the hood adjustment for $2200 post. I guess there’s another page, my bad

It’s ok I’m not upset about not having my RHO yet I pick this one up at Benny Boyd in Lampasas, Texas and when my order comes in I will pick the one I like the most and give my son in law the other one I was hoping to find out how many orders where placed in April and May and out of those orders how many have been delivered did not mean to make a issue out of it it was more along the lines of having a few facts when mine arrives

If you look in the Mark Dodge thread I think Anthony said four of the April/May orders of theirs are still not in production. It's been an ongoing anger filled forum since about October

So the update on my RHO is the had to replace the front right panel...the hinge there on the right side for the hood...repaint and put the new decal (RHO) on the hood. I still haven't got my truck back bit was told the first week of February.

Damn that’s the longest process I’ve seen. You got over a month between each step besides order and shipping.
