What did you do to your RHO Today?

None offered for me, to be fair, I also did not ask for one.
That’s one of the things I really dislike about RAM. They have never offered a loaner for warranty work. I bought my wife a Lexus years ago and we keep going back for her new cars because of the service. Any warranty work and sometimes even oil changes they will offer a loaner. If the RHO doesn’t workout I’ll be going the GX550 route

Looks Great! Did you install the running boards or did you have someone install them? Do you know the actual part number for the power steps?
I had the dealer install them, that way they are covered by the mopar warranty (3 year/36k) and they can be controled by uconnect (to stow them)

That's the route I'm taking as well. I like the idea of leaving them out as door ding protectors

Installed running boards a week ago. About 2 hours and a couple beers to compete lol. 3,552 miles on the clock, did first oil change around 3,200 miles.

GX550? Have you test driven one? I ruled it out after one of the big YouTubers said those accustomed to an X5 or GLE ride will find the GX550 ride quite rough.

Well, I came out of an X5…one with adaptive dampers that actually made the ride smoother than a standard X5. Let me just say the ride was not like a traditional American SUV. It was a controlled ride that got downright rough when taking it off-road.

If the GX550 rides harder than an X5…well, that’s a pretty shitty ride!

What did I do today? Nothing, as my truck is at the dealer getting the safety systems torn down to find a fix. Don’t want to see it, as I’ve read it requires a significant tear-down of the interior. Fingers crossed they find the defective wiring, can get any parts needed fast, and the interior can be restored to “factory new” specifications. Ha!

In other news, it rained in PHX last week. So I took the RHO out to find its limits on pavement. The wet roads allowed me to experience “break-away” at much lower, safer speeds. My conclusion as a suspension and drivetrain engineering enthusiast?:

Let’s just say open front and rear diffs with a fixed AWD torque split makes for a less than ideal “dancing partner”. Wish these things had a 2WD option. The best you can do with RHO is fixed 25% torque to the front axles, but that requires Baja drive mode which prevents up-shifts under 4500RPM. That might work OK in the dirt, but not something to be playing with on wet pavement with curbs & such.

Did you have them painted or purchase them color-matched?
Purchased OEM color matched online. The only "problem" is that I couldn't find just the surround (the white painted part), I had to buy the whole tailgate mechanism with the LED light and push button "guts". It was more than I wanted to pay but I figure its a one and done type of thing.

The truth is I just kept the OEM push button, and swapped in the white surround on the factory parts. Not sure if that makes sense, but that's the best way to explain it.

Company/website?

Washed the grime from the 2k ride home and put a tuff kicking floor lid in.

He doesn't want us copying! :ROFLMAO: I prefer the look of the color matched handles, etc. too. My GMC had these awful chrome side mirror caps and they had to go! Details @DinoNuggets Details!

Oh sorry, I didn't know the rules on posting links. I got it from Ebay

I got a white one, but I'm certain you can message the seller and they can source the appropriate color.

That looks really good, looking forward to see how the door handles look.
