Are you talking about this chart?@Eighty do you think RAM will build early orders? And do you still have the graph that you shared long time ago?
Yes, this one! Thank you for sharing. Are you talking about this chart?
Yes, they’ll build the early orders. Just not in the order that they were ordered. They build whatever they feel like building, when they feel like building them. Early orders usually suffer, because Ram makes configuration changes as the model year commences (and can require manual intervention to correct the previous orders). That’s why it is usually faster to order soon after they start building them…they’ve worked out the kinks in the system by then. But it can also mean the truck is costlier, since they usually start upping the base price throughout the year.

Looks like they are doing the exact same as the trx.Are you talking about this chart?

That’s how Ram does it across the board. That chart was for the 2022 TRX, but I have the data for all trims (Rebel, Laramie, Bighorn, etc), and it looks exactly the same. They build in the order that works best for them, not for the dealers or buyers.Looks like they are doing the exact same as the trx.
I wonder if early orders affected by the CDK hack. That’s how Ram does it across the board. What phone number did you call?I called RAM customer service for an update on my RHO. They said 2nd week of November I will get an update and will begin production. They state it should take about 3 months to finish building the truck so I won’t be seeing it till about feb-mar. So let’s see if they are right.
Think it is 1-866-GET-BENT, sounded about right when I calledWhat phone number did you call?

CDK has nothing to do with RAM orders being placed. Dealerconnect is a web based application and was never effected by CDK. If a dealership used CDK, it may have prevented them from documenting sales and generating paperwork, but they still could have placed orders. We don't use CDK, luckily, so we weren't effected at all.I wonder if early orders affected by the CDK hack.
And even if you have two orders from the same dealership that are exactly the same, order date means nothing. My truck spec'ed EXACTLY like this truck, which was (given the VIN) ordered at least 3 months later. Both ordered from Mark Dodge. Mine was ordered on 4/25. Ram being Ram.
My bad. MSRP was the same - just assumed too much then. Gradually accepting truck is February at its earliest.CDK has nothing to do with RAM orders being placed. The order you are referencing is absolutely not the same order as yours. It actually has more things different about it than it has the same, in terms of selected options. It was placed much later than yours, which I'm not happy about - but it's not the same truck. It has three things in common and four things different.
Frustrated and beyond pissed here, there is no good scenario that has my truck in D status while multiple trucks sit in storage or wherever they are until shipped. I ordered in April and RAM customer service tells me we don't knowWoulld be nice to get some real answers as to why April orders and orders from the 1st couple days of May sit while orders from September and October get built. Frustrated, yes, but actually really curious. Seems like something is impacting those orders.
When I saw a lot of trucks with ship dates mid to late December, I started thinking the same thing. We need to start rooting for the guys in D status or we may never see our trucksWhat if all orders are shipped out at the same time and all this constant concern was for nothing?
Supposedly there is a line worker who swears they got three shifts pumping these trucks out like crazy. If that’s true then I think that may very well be the case. When I saw a lot of trucks with ship dates mid to late December, I started thinking the same thing.
