It's been confirmed that the TRX is making a comeback in 2026, what are your thoughts and where does that leave us with RHOs?

Was it confirmed by Ram, or is it just a rumor?

Hard to say until a bunch of questions are answered.
1. Is it really coming?
2. How will it be powered? Return of the Hemi, factory tune on Hurricane, some hybrid/electrification?
3. How much will it weigh? If more, what does that do to handling, towing, and payload?
4. How will it sound?
5. Will it have more differentiation from the RHO than just motor?
6. How will it be priced?

Likely it will be priced much higher, similar to Raptor vs Raptor R, so RHO will still represent a terrific value play and can approach TRX power with a tune.

If there is no Hemi with Hemi sound, then it is probably less attractive than it could be.
If there is some hybrid/electrification, many of us will find that to be a negative.
If payload & towing drop significantly, that's a problem for those who want to do truck things.

No one thinks a Raptor buyer is a sucker for not getting an R. The R is just rare and extra special.

Let's hope a new TRX is awesome, showing up soon, brings more good attention back to the RHO, and retakes the performance crown from Ford.

I loved my trx and it would be awesome if they brought it back. The rho would compete with the ecoboost raptor and the trx with the raptor r. If ram made the new trx as a $10-$15k upgrade over the rho it would be solid but I doubt it. I think its going to be at least $130k as msrp on 2024’s was $120kish depending on options, which will take a lot of people out of the market. As much as I love a V-8, personally its only worth so much to me so it really depends on the price they bring it in at but I don’t think the rho will go anywhere as it brings competition to the ecoboost raptor and the gmc at4x.

Meh…cool but also don’t care. There is no way I can justify spending over 100k for any vehicle, I’d rather save my money and invest it elsewhere. The RHO has tremendous value and similar capability over these insanely powerful and expensive trucks. If we were paying ‘back in the day’ TRX prices, ok sure I’m in, but those days are gone.

I'm looking forward to seeing an updated TRX come our way and I'm sure it will in the future, but reality is that these things take way longer than a model year to happen. Unless they've already been working on it for a few years it's still out in the future. Remember the first time we saw the Hurricane powered RHO in spy shots? That was back in 2023 and we haven't even made it to that checkpoint with the updated TRX. We didn't start receiving our RHOs until two years later or more. We'll hopefully learn more in 2026 but the trucks are years out if history is our guide.

If they do build it,I would bet money it will either be a hybrid using the current high output 6 plus regenerative battery ala trd pro, ford powerboost or a complete electric truck.

Does anyone know how 1st year RHO sales compared to first year TRX sales? I’m thinking we must be getting close to 1yr for RHO open orders now… would be fun to know how the numbers compare.

I can hear the collective mouth-breather uproar from the "gimme a hemi er gimme nuthin" crowd.

But but but ram when announcing rho said themselves trx will be back..

There is no lack of demand for regular Raptors, and the RHO is a better truck. I can see them bringing the TRX back as a niche like the Raptor R, probably priced a bit less. The RHO’s will be the vast majority of sales like the Raptor vs. Raptor R, and I do not think the TRX would hurt our values as the TRX will be 40k more plus, in a whole different price band. Of course I have no info at all, but this is what I would do

Not true... I work for Stellantis, Sterling Heights Assembly Plant & we haven't heard anything about the TRX returning by next year... hell we still trying to keep up with orders for all 2025 Ram 1500 models.

Are you all getting lots of rho orders or is it other trim levels that are in high demand?

My neighbors brothers mother in law knows a guy who says it will come back eventually, but not in 2026 though

If/when they come out with this truck I agree, it will be to compete with the Raptor R... If its to replace the RHO that would be a huge waste of money. I purchased the RHO because I didn't want to spend 100k on the TRX while getting terrible mpg... However if the new TRX has solved the fuel issue while delivering on the sound we love? I don't know... Might have to take a look.
