Did You Hear That? 👀 RHO Exhaust Options are HERE!!

This could be the best sounding exhaust I heard so far. It's just so hard to judge the sound from a video Knowing that it can never capture the true sound. I think the stock RHo exhaust sounds like a vacuum cleaner, in all the videos I've seen, but in person it sounds different and absolutely love it.

@MRT Performance do you think it sounds different in person with this exhaust?

Thanks so much! We’re happy you like the sound of the Extreme Exhaust for the RHO. 🎉

The sound in our videos is really close to how it sounds in real life. We use a few different microphones to record the exhaust so we can capture all the details.

Our video editor is also one of the drivers who tests the exhaust, so they hear it in person and make sure the video sound matches what it’s like in real life.

It’s hard to beat hearing it for yourself, but we do our best to make the videos as close as possible!

Can you do cabin videos to hear the sound from the inside? Both models? Thanks!

The extreme sounds pretty damn amazing. Anxiously waiting to hear how much louder it is inside the cabin.

Nice comparison of the two. In cabin comparison would be great. Any ballpark pricing?

The Extreme really does bring the sound to life, doesn’t it? 🔥 Inside the cabin, the difference is noticeable compared to the stock system, but it’s not overwhelming. The stock exhaust leaves a lot to be desired—there’s nothing quite as disappointing as climbing into your RHO, expecting a bold and commanding start, only to hit the ignition and be met with near silence.

Between the Extreme and Trail Rated systems, the in-cabin volume is pretty close. Both are louder than stock, but the sound is refined, so it’s never too much. We designed these systems to enhance the driving experience without sacrificing comfort—we did not notice any drone during our testing, even at highway speeds. Just cruising, you get a nice, subtle whirr behind you that lets you know it’s there, but it’s still easy to have a conversation or take a call.

In cabin videos will be posted in the next couple of days!

Absolutely! The product pages will go live by Friday, January 31st. We’ll be sure to share an update here as soon as they’re up!
I think I saw you'll install at your Plymouth shop. Can you include that info as well in terms of pricing, time in shop, scheduling, etc.

Yes, we do offer installation services at MRT's location in Plymouth, MI (45646 Port St). Installation typically takes about an hour and is billed at our shop rate of $149/hour before tax.

To schedule an appointment, we require a $100 deposit to reserve your installation time. This deposit will be applied to your total at the end of the installation. Alternatively, you can purchase the part outright, and we’ll set it aside under your name in anticipation of your scheduled installation date.
We can be reached at 734-455-5807

Customers have the option to wait at our shop during the installation or drop off their vehicle and pick it up once the work is complete.

Sweet. See you this spring (assuming my truck ever gets out of Pearland purgatory)

Can buy through only mrt correct or do you guys just sell through just other businesses? Pretty simple install I assume like most catbacks ?

This will be sold via our website www.ShopMRT.com and through our MRT dealer network. Installation is pretty straight forward. More details on that in the next few days.

Can we do an active exhaust with louvers or something using one of the aux switches?

Are you guys going to post if you have seen any HP gains with either setup? Stock dyno vs your Trail exhaust and also extreme exhaust?

I don't think there's going to be any big gains with a cat back, the stock system seems pretty free flowing and large diameter.
I think downpipes or high flowing cats are going to be where gains are found.

Has anyone heard how it sounds from the cabin? The video can’t be that hard to make.

Extreme vs. Trail Rated – Which MRT Exhaust is Right for Your Ram 1500 RHO?
The stock exhaust on the Ram 1500 RHO is way too quiet for a high-performance off-road truck. If you've ever hopped in, hit the ignition, and been let down by the lack of sound, you're not alone. MRT has two solutions to wake up the Twin-Turbo 3.0L Hurricane I6 and give your RHO the sound and presence it deserves: the Extreme Mid Pipe and the Trail Rated Mid Pipe.

I've put together two videos showcasing the interior exhaust experience, so you can hear how each system changes the driving experience from inside the cab.

Extreme Mid Pipe – Maximum Performance Sound
The Extreme Mid Pipe is all about aggression and attitude. It delivers performance sound at all times, making sure your RHO doesn’t just look the part but sounds like the beast it is. At full throttle, it roars to life with a raw, race-inspired tone, while at cruising speeds, it dials back just enough to remain enjoyable without being overbearing. If you want a commanding exhaust presence both inside and outside the truck, this is the system for you.

Trail Rated Mid Pipe – Refined Power with On-Demand Sound
The Trail Rated Mid Pipe shares a similar deep, muscular exhaust note but is designed for those who want a more controlled and refined experience. It provides on-demand performance sound when you step on the throttle, but during highway cruising, it settles into a smooth exhaust whirr behind you, making for a comfortable and drone-free ride. It’s the best of both worlds—aggressive when you want it, and composed when you need it.

These videos give you a real-world look at how each system sounds from the driver’s seat, so you can decide which one fits your style best. No matter which you choose, both systems wake up the RHO the way it should have sounded from the factory.
