My exhaust shop decided to weld my extreme mids on instead of using the clamps. Does this look ok? Lol I was kind of surprised when I saw the bag of clamps still sitting there after the installView attachment 6966View attachment 6967

Thats not going to be a quick change if you ever go back to stock. LOL welds look questionable but it is an exhaust shop. as long as theres no leaks you should be good.

The top of the pipes would be my concern as there isn't a ton of room to see or weld there. I used the clamps with no issues getting the pipes to seal. I have noticed an annoying drone when cruising the interstate with the engine rpms around 2100. It's nothing terrible, but can become annoying on longer trips. This is with the extreme kit and not the trail kit. Other than that, the sound is pretty awesome and definitely turns heads.

This is better than clamps. I've had clamps come loose and leak plenty of times.

yup! as along as the welds are good , best case possible! Ill probably weld mine in cuz clamps are annoying

That’s not exactly how we designed the system to be installed, but as long as the welds are solid, there shouldn’t be any issues!

If the welds are good is there anything that’s not going to be the way it should, like sound or negatively affect performance ? Since it wasn’t designed to be welded like that!!

The sound and performance shouldn’t be negatively affected as long as the welds are solid and there are no leaks. The main downside is that welding removes the adjustability that clamps provide, so fine-tuning the fitment or making future modifications will be more difficult. But if everything is aligned correctly and sealed well, you should be good to go!

At our shop, we typically add two small tack welds on each clamp during local installations. This belt-and-suspenders approach ensures the system stays secure while still allowing for adjustments by simply cutting the tack welds and loosening the clamps. It’s not necessary, but we offer this option for in-shop installs as it adds peace of mind for some of our customers. Best of both worlds approach.

Damn you just pushed me back from the ledge on the Extreme. Drone is one thing I really didn't want

I like it so far! Definitely more bass to it now! Before the mid pipes I’ve literally sat in and started it and had to double check if it started it was so quiet on the inside lol

I’ve had cars that drone so bad that I’m probably not the right person to answer it, as I’m kind of immune to it lol definitely has a little hum to it while cruising which I enjoy actually.

Just a quick update for everyone! As of today, the last batch of backorders on the Extreme Mid Pipe have been shipped, and we now have Extreme Mid Pipes on the shelf ready to ship! Same day if order is placed before 2pm EST Mon-Fri.
