Invited to Beta Test the Diablosport Cat6 inline module

Is this the same tuner? It says in the description RHO

It looks it, but I don’t have any of those options they show(it’s a beta version) but maybe once it’s released? Also in my three power options I’m almost positive it says 93 octane?

I’ll definitely take more screenshots once I hook it up again when we get the truck back

I'm running a JB4 now and I'm curious how this will compare from a power and power delivery perspective. I like the fact that this has the pedal tuner built in...
 
RamFan, loved the review and I'm happy to see another option out there. How does this hook up to the truck - is it similar to the JB4 as it plugs into the same sensors or does it connect another way?

Im sure its very similar, you have to unplug mulitiple sensors and put a "bridge" in between including the ECU and pedal sensor and then it also plugs into the OBD port. When you first look at it, it seem complicated but it super easy. First time took about 45 minutes going SUPER slow. Now I could do it in 20 minutes or less. :)

So I brought the truck in to get multiple things repaired(all QC issues, nothing running wise) today and I removed the DiabloSport after church yesterday. Driving it to the dealership was a huge realization how much that improves the driving of the truck.

The gas pedal sensitivity is definitely the biggest difference. The factory setting is VERY lazy and Im sure its help MPGs but it creates a less than enthusiastic drive feeling. And who would have thought that 540hp isnt enough? :) That loss of power was also very noticeable but only when you are on it.

I will install it again the second I have it back in my driveway. Its that much of an improvement to an already awesome truck!! If you never had, you wont miss it, but once you have the taste....you cant deny it. lol

How’s the Diablosport tune going on your truck? Any issues? They just released it so about to order. Just wanted to make sure you haven’t noticed anything odd to report on.

No issues at all! Can’t imagine the truck without it honestly.

I was a beta tester. I like the cat 6 over the jb4 that I have. No tests on my end to prove it's better. I have a dragy but have yet to use it. But it just seems better. What is weird is that I'm getting better gas mileage when I'm not getting on it hard. Almost 14mpg 😂. I had the jb4 installed with my mrt extreme exhaust and it was good. I have the cat6 now with the mrt trail rated or whatever it's called. Just my opinion.

I love the sound of the extreme but I thought it was too loud for everyday driving. I live in California and didn't want to give the cops a reason to pull me over. I bought a decibel reader and at 3500rpm I believe read 109 decibels as well as drone in cab. I dont really care about drone as much as other people do. The trail rated is okay. I can hear it more than stock. Still has some drone but minimal. I might put the extreme back on because I think it sounds awesome. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the great feedback bro. Great to hear. I think ill order the extreme. worst case i don't like it and go back to stock. anyway back to tuner talk!!! I just hadnt been able to locate a solid review on MRT and to find someone who has had both is too good. $450 hard to pass on.
 
Yeah price is really good. If you don't like the extreme they sell the trailrated mufflers so you can switch to it easily.

The mid-pipe only options require cutting the stock exhaust so going back to stock would require welding the muffler section back on (based on install video I saw).

you are correct, or you could use a 3" exhaust coupling.

mrt also has a conversion kit, just adds mufflers in case the extreme is too loud

absolutely. Welding stock back in would take me 5 minutes so no issue, i like they make the mufflers for the extreme if you think its too loud!
