JANUARY order updates!

Not sure I understand this. Are you saying it goes to Jim Glover for PDI and then they ship it to you for free? That's a sweet deal if so! $700 isn't a game changer, but it's something . . .
No, it goes straight to your local dealer to fulfill the PDI. No travel and no third-party transport to deal with.

No. They’ll have it shipped to your local dealership and they do the pdi . If your local dealership is willing to do it!
Curious to get others' opinions, but I feel like the shipping cost and a bit of extra time is worth having a dealership that does a lot of RHO volume do the PDI. I think my local dealership has had a grand total of two RHOs - so my intuition tells me that Koons has a far better grasp of the potential problem areas. Seems like it's worth the extra $700 and day or two to ship it. What do you guys think?

A pre-delivery inspection is not rocket science. Don't overthink it.

It's much easier to hold a local dealership accountable for what they might miss. Plus you get eyes on the truck before you sign. Trust me, the big volume dealers miss things like any other dealership (happened to me twice with two different dealerships). When they do, you have to go through your local dealership anyway. In my opinion, all things being equal, courtesy delivery could tilt the balance. We are very lucky to have great dealerships on this Forum.

Fortunately, things seem to be moving a lot quicker these days. Hope you get your truck soon!

Any guess's on how many RHO's they can crank out in a day?

(Guesses based on estore, if i understand it correctly)
Looks to be 225 being built, So those are "in production"
172 now instock nationwide with 62 sale pending, another 148 in transit (with 9 more not already sold in transit).
That makes 191 units for dealer stock [Being built, in stock, in transit]

Seems our orders that went to scheduled since beginning to mid Jan haven't seen a lot of movement from scheduled to in production .. unlike those in Dec that where cranked out in a month from order to shipped

My guess, again all of this is just me looking that the estore pretty much daily, is dealer orders for lots bumped down the pre-sales to the bottom of the pile.

Anyone go from scheduled to in production past Jan 10th scheduled date?

There are no dealer stock orders. This is a truck that a dealer can only order with a customers name attached to it.
Like @AnthonyRI has sad, sure some dealers will order under their dogs name or the neighbors squirrel but that is not allowed by RAM.

Thought that changed last month? Now dealers can order inventory units.

That’s news to me. Maybe @AnthonyRI can chime in and let us know.
Opened for dealer stock last month but AFTER the allocation call so I don't know how they're handling how many each store can order.
My personal expectation is that it may be linked to "playing ball" on other inventory at the opposite end of the spectrum.
Will post up if they say anything about it on the next allocation call, as much as I can without breaking the rules :)

BUT a good thing that comes out of that, is that is probably the reason they also opened military/responder/affiliate/EP.... those things happened at the same time.

I’d be upset if someone’s dog or squirrel got their truck before me.
