Did anyone else have issues with Mark Dodge? Customer service complaints, etc? Personally had a disagreement with the staff, they were rude and refused to honor my sales agreement or refund my "non-refundable" deposit. Just looking for feedback if anyone else is in the same boat.

Picked mine up 1/16. No issues thru the entire process. I dealt with 5 different people from order to delivery and all were very professional and courteous.

What do you mean when you say they refused to honor your sales agreement? I have one on order and it is very clear what the pre-rebate, out the door cost is - including dealer fees, tax, tags, etc. - and that whatever rebates that are available at the time of purchase will be an additional adjustment. I have all of that in print - so it doesn't seem like there is really any room for a disagreement.

really
you want a refund on a "non-refundable" deposit?

or did you register today and come here to make trouble?

Nice 1st post! I ordered my truck form MD in Nov. it arrived to me in CO on Thur this week, every part of the process was professional & easy, 1 of the best car buying experiences I've had. I'd recommend The MD Team to anyone!

ended up ordering mine with @AnthonyRI this past Monday and so far everything has been great. Communication has been awesome. So far I’ve only dealt with Anthony and maybe as the truck comes in later on I’ll probably deal with someone else but so far no complaints here.

Same. Got my truck about four days ago. Great experience! Talked to about 4 different people and everyone was awesome. Nothing but good things to say about whole experience.

Virtually all of the purchases from Mark fell apart - they were disasters. TK said so. Maybe he can loan everyone on here part of his $200 bank roll so we can afford these trucks??

What did you pay for shipping if you don’t mind sharing? In Colorado myself- at the rail yard as of 1/13.

Some background, in the past 2 plus decades I have read, written, and/or edited 100's of thousands of contracts and purchased MANY new vehicles from dealers. I've only had 2 pleasant dealer experiences where they didn't try to slide hidden nonsense in, left room for bs or conveniently not sign their contracts to get out of them. The two pleasant experiences I've had (one being employee pricing) had one thing in common, completely transparent communication and contracts that were written in easy-to-understand language. Where Mark-Dodge drastically improved upon this (in my opinion) is they take transparency and alignment to the next level by providing several additional documents, written plainly to explain what they are and aren't doing, what you are and aren't paying for, etc. This provides us (the buyer) with peace of mind, but also them (the seller) with peace of mind that people will hold to their end, which makes sense for a volume dealer that doesn't want to be left holding the bag. Fun fact, holding the bag is a horrible business model.

All that it is to say, my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. I've been a human hot potato and passed around from person to person and not one person has dropped me ;)

As a person that is very self-aware and accustomed to being wrong often enough to be a professional in the world of apologies, I'd recommend sending the MD team an edible arrangement, along with your apology and working through it. Personally, I'd feel silly if I lost 1k, the respect of hard-working people at MD, and had to tuck my tail to deal with local bottom feeding dealer.... but that's me, you do you.

Quick edit-if you are still sore and believe your beef legitimate, then you very much should explain the particulars. As of now the hearsay is as vague as finding for a campsite on a no moon night, with no lights and thick fog.

I tried to post an explanation but the moderators flagged it for some reason. Long story short the truck came in sooner than expected which was great but I explained to them I needed two weeks to hold the truck. Offered 10k wire to show my intentions. Was told to "buy now or forfeit". Mind you I ordered the truck in May of last year and tracker showed Feb delivery which is why I planned my finances around Feb delivery. Tried to also roll my 1k to a new order if they couldn't hold it two weeks. Nope no working with me nothing. Deal would've been completed by month end. Even shifted some things around on my end to push that timeframe up. Still didn't care....

The spam-detecting software flagged one of the words you used. Not unusual with new members. The word was “explanation”. No idea why.
You should see how many newbie posts get flagged for using the words “free” or “coupon”…

I don't think they are being unreasonable. They can sell a truck on the lot for a lot more - and if you aren't in a position to pull the trigger now, how do they know you will be in two weeks? My understanding when I ordered mine is that it would be purchased as soon as they had it - not weeks later. To be honest, this sounds like you not upholding your side of the deal - not them. Your original post said they didn't honor the sales agreement - my guess is your sales agreement didn't commit them to holding onto the truck until your finances were in a position to buy it. Unless I'm missing something, your comment about not honoring an agreement isn't accurate.

Edit - I looked at my agreement. If yours has language like this, then I agree that they didn't uphold their agreement.
