RHO Delivered

I bought a truck that arrived at a dealer & the original buyer didn’t like the color, so I can’t speak for how long things take between tracker steps.

I do know my truck was built in October & delivered to an AZ dealer on Nov 20th. It definitely sat somewhere in storage for an unknown reason. Based on the paint condition & how much protective film adhesive transfer was found on my truck, it sat for at least 30-45 days.

Unknown if they are still holding finished RHOs, so there’s your biggest hurdle in anticipating a delivery date.
I believe when it shows "built", it is post storage or whatever reason they are holding it. It should be moving at this point.

I wouldn't use the term "awful" but its not really a banger. I turned up the treble and mid a couple notches, turned up the bass 1 notch and enabled "surround sound" which made it sound better.
I did this & it indeed sounds better. Thank you, Yuppie!

I thought any “surround” would just add odd artifacts to the sound. By including the center channel speaker, the mids become more natural & pleasant. Somehow, it also eliminated 75% of the mid-bass hump.

Still NEEDS a clean, tight subwoofer installation under the rear seat. The new 2025 wiring will make that an interesting learning experience for whoever attempts it.

If anyone does a sub, please add a thread so we can all learn!

Does anyone know if we have this? From the manual. Wondering what effect t would have on overall performance of the sound system.

Yes we do and it is what makes aftermarket sound systems a total pain and expensive so you don’t lose it. It cancels out outside noise. People with trx’s went back to stock system because the drone from exhaust got to bad without ANC.

Yikes!

look on your build sheet for "Active Noise Control System"

I will try that. As you said, it’s not a banger!

Back when TRX 1st appeared, saw a YouTube video with a guy who had taken his TRX to an audiophile shop in MD. They used the stock speaker harness to integrate a parametric EQ & added subs/amp under the rear seat. I think they also replaced all the stock speakers, as the guy wanted all Focal & JL Audio equipment. He claimed to have paid $10K, and it sounded “banging”.

I think we could get 95% of his sound with just that EQ, subs & a sub amp…maybe $4-5K, depending on how crazy you get with the subs.
I found the best sound out of mine by setting Bass to 7 Mid to 4 and Treble to 4.

Interesting…
According to Net Audio, they mention the amps are different, as well as the connections. This could certainly explain the difference in sound

Its really not a terrible system, its just kinda par for the course on new car builds. Curious that they put the Klipsch system in the Tungsten but not in any of the other builds. It's also going to depend on what you're listening to. It's not going to be like a full blown Focal system with subs and tweeters, and its far from the worst I've ever heard, it's really just OK.

One more observation…drove across town to my neighbors tint & PPF shop…with 100+ miles, I left it in Sport mode. Drivetrain came alive & no more hunting between 7th & 8th gears on the highway…it stops upshifting at 7th. Unlike my last BMW that got over-eager in Sport, I could see me using RHO Sport mode 100%, unless the hwy MPGs suffer excessively.

Rode home in a 3rd Gen V6 Raptor, so got a back-to-back comparison. Driver even left it in Sport mode. Very comparable ride. A bit less tire scrub when taking turns, maybe due to less mass. Exhaust was definitely rowdy. At 1st, seemed throatier than RHO, but got kinda tiring fast. Interior is not up to Ram standard, but still nice. Overall, a very cool truck.
