RHO Lemon. Beware

The RHO has an entirely new electrical architecture called 'Atlantis', I'm sure there are teething problems with all of the new electrical and software programming/integration that are contributing to most of these gremlins.
Anyone know what the perceived advantages are of this and the reason for the change? Our 2023 Wagoneer has some quirks with the electrical system for sure - so rolling the dice on an entirely new architecture for a new model launch seems odd. Also, I assume the non-RHO Rams have the same architecture. Is anyone following other boards to see if they are having similar issues with the HO and/or non-HO versions? I know the thermostat issues are well documented (we had it with our Wagoneer!), but what else?

The entire Ram lineup has the new electrical architecture. That doesn’t mean just new wiring. It mainly relates to new computers and faster processors. They had to do this for the hands free driving and to improve things like the response times of the adaptive cruise control.

Automakers have plans years in advance. This aligns also with suppliers. So you can hold back a product without pushing a dozen other things backward. They have to keep moving forward.

Lemon my ass. You’re here to start bs. Unless you back it up with multiple issues, cry wolf.

And any warranty concern takes precedence over anything else. As long as the dealership knows.

Reach out to Ram Cares. I’m using way too much energy for this post. Hope it is real.

Chris
No sir, I apologize if I triggered you. I’m just sharing my experience in case others have the same issue both to see if it’s happened to others as well as provide a heads up. I have way too much of a life than to just type in a forum for the sake of “starting BS”. I wish it wasn’t real and I had my 88k truck in my own garage for more than 8 days out of the last 27

The clock is ticking. April 30th was my order. I want my 1000 back from Mark Dodge and it will be the right thing for them to do.

This roll out has been a joke but it’s been a blessing. It allowed me to think about my decision.

Well, I’m out on the this RHO experiment. I purchased a 2022 TRX with 14,000 miles and it’s in show room condition. It’s a loaded LEVEL 2 and I purchased it for 78,000.

OMG! The rumble of the 6.2 SC! I in love!!

Being able to watch the clown show roll out and realize that the MPG isn’t a big enough factor to be a test dummy. I’m getting 11 with winter blend fuel on the TRX over 300 miles. Doesn’t matter, it’s only going to get driven 6000 a year.

Good luck all!!! I saw the appeal and the RHO is a gorgeous truck but let’s face it, the 6.2 SC is what will hold value as it will be the sought after one.

I think it's how you did it.

Up to today, your only posts were issues or problems.

Even now, we don't know what color RHO you have, and only learned who you bought it from after asking.

**Personal Opinion Here**

You dropped it off Christmas Eve, then it was at the dealer for 21 days for a thermostat? I find that hard to believe.

You get it back on the 01/15, and it breaks again on 01/16. No issues for 21 days at the dealer, then it breaks the day after you get it back?

Again, this is a personal observation, the timing of these issues and breakage is a little too convenient for me. The lack of non-issue information furthers my suspicion.

Just being honest here.

People are funny, would it matter if my RHO was black or red? Would you like a time stamp of my purchase? Anyway as an update, dealership could not replicate the issue after a week of it being there. They did find a battery that failed after I asked them to check. They replaced battery and were on their way to valet the truck back to my house. This was yesterday. I received a call from the Service manager who said a few miles before they got to my house, the same issue happened to the driver, fuel gauge went to zero, low/no fuel indicator and low coolant warnings illuminated and no response when hitting the gas. They brought it back to the shop and are going to work with the advanced engineers at Stellantis because the only code that was triggered had to do with the massaging seats. I came to this site for possible guidance from other owners or experienced truck enthusiasts, as this is my first Ram. I also thought it might be helpful for others if they ever had similar experiences. I wish I didn’t have these problems. The truck is beautiful and I have had it for 10 days out of the past month and am also now apprehensive of driving it again unless they can diagnose and fix the issue.

Call me a stickler, but trucks randomly shutting down while being driven on the highway is not a minor problem, nor is it a problem that should be accepted simply because its a new model year. Beyond unsafe.
When did this happen to you? Did you get it resolved?

It happened 12 days ago for me and 4 days ago for the service person. There is no resolution as of 5:00 this afternoon. Truck is still there

Let me start by saying the truck is badass. That’s where my good experience ends. Picked up new RHO on 12/23. 12/24 noticed fluid leaking under driver side. Called dealer and brought it in. Turned out thermostat was broken. Kind of a bummer for a brand new 88k truck. Dealer returned car to me on 1/15. Drove for the first time after drop off today, filled with gas and hopped on the highway. 10 miles in, center console went crazy, gas gauge went from 388 miles left to 0. No fuel light on dash and every other light going off AMD truck had no acceleration, literally like it thought I was out of gas. I was going 75 mph in left lane and had to glide to right hand shoulder Turned it off, prayed, and started back up. It started, gas gauge went to 22 then gradually to 300…super scary and crazy activity. Called Dealer, who has been nothing but awesome and they just sent flatbed to tow it away. It was home for 1 day! So disappointed and disheartened that I might have a lemon. Just posting in case this happens to anyone else.
There is a TSB on the rear harness all the way up to the front, there is a youtuber that had the problem and made a post on it.

Yeah dealer did take care of me but a "lemon" is car with a significant defect or malfunction that makes it unsafe to drive, including non working or faulty brakes, engines, transmission. This truck died at 70mph. I was lucky I didn’t have anyone on my right and was able to roll of the side of the road in the dark.

No highway lights and no truck lights when it failed. Door lights turned on when I got out and then was able to switch on hazard lights.
Sir, would like to contact you. Mine has stopped 3 times will going 70. Back in shop for 4th time in 2months since purchase. I’m at my wits end, trying to get an attorney to take my case but would greatly appreciate input on your story and what you have done/if it’s fixed or outcome. Thank you. Tom L

You could PM him your number instead of sharing with the world. Sorry about your situation, that sounds brutal.

WOW! What a thread. Glad the OP survived the initial beat down and hope his truck does too.

Like all new things, there are growing pains and yeah it sucks on our end but thus far it seems like dealerships and Ram has mostly been pretty awesome about getting us squared away. Sending you happy thoughts hopefully you are all sorted quickly.
I hate to hear people with issues on their new truck. So far mine has been flawless. Hopefully it will stay that way!
