SHOULD I TAKE DELIVERY OR NOT?

I am currently driving a 24 Raptor 37, but before this I drove a 21 TRX which I loved and always wanted another one. When the RHO came out I was excited to go back so I found on this week and I made a deal but have not picked it up. After listening to a video today where they were talking about all the issues with this new motor I am having second thoughts on picking it up. Similar things were said about the TRX when I got it but the only issue I had was a blown shock, other than that it was awesome.
I wonder if the Ram has delivered hundreds or thousands and what the ratio of units delivered to ones with problems, does anyone have any idea?

The big question is should I take the risk and pick it up or wait for the bugs to go away?

If it was a TK's Garage video, ignore that moron.

I don't know him, but it did seem like he was a basher of Ram, but at the same time I decided to check out his claims and I do see some people having simple issues like batteries, but the ones that are claiming engine lock ups worry me bucause I just do not have the time or the patience to deal with it.

Pick it up. These YT folks are out for clicks, especially TK.

Question: Why are you getting rid of a 24 37 Raptor? It hasn't even had it's 1st birthday...
Excluding the engine the TRX was the best truck I have owned or driven. The Raptor is a great truck no real complaints, but in my opinon it just doesn't feel as good as the TRX.

I am curious if someone that owns the RHO would chime in and recommend that I pick it up?

I picked mine up last Tuesday. I’ve put 750 amazing miles on it. I have zero complaints. I love everything about it. I enjoy driving it just as much as my TRX it absolutely completes my driveway.

Very nice!!

My wife had a guy with a TRX approach her in the parking lot asking about it. He noted it sits taller than his TRX parked next to it. It appears as so in your picture too. Have you noticed that or if its true?

If I had a 24 raptor, I’d wait a little bit until you see that people arnt talking about issue as often. You have a working Baja, why take the risk of a headache. I don’t have a truck anymore and needed one asap

My RHO engine hydrolocked and I know I’m the only one with that issue but others are still having electrical and battery issues. I’d wait to avoid headache

I don't even know what "hydrolocked" means (*apparently, by the big red bar under the word, neither does Grammarly.)

To me, hydrolock sounds like something you'd hear a pilot of a giant anime robot say... "Voltron! Hydrolock! Now!" :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, Imma geek... I'm in IT, what'd you expect! 🥸

It means a cylinder fills with fluid (typically water, but technically can be any fluid including gas) during the intake stroke. Then during the compression stroke (powered by the power stroke cylinders), the fluid can’t be compressed, usually resulting in a broken connecting rod in the fluid filled cylinder.

Happens a lot when cars try to drive thru flooded streets. The engine ingests water thru the intake & the engine hydrolocks. If done at idle, often the engine will just stall, need a tow & have the water evacuated from the engine.

do it, i had a battery issue, I believe it was because my key card was left in the truck

No I would not swap. You already have a nice working 37 Raptor, I say keep it and enjoy.

I was in the same boat as you. Had two GEN2 raptors before my TRX. Was freaking out about all of the issues. Then, pulled trigger on my TRX and owned it without ever having a single issue. Absolutely loved that truck, but miles range and adrenaline from HP had worn off. So, I got a 23' GEN3 Raptor. It was slower, felt cheaper and developed a rattle within 6k miles. Reports from the EcoBoost engine issues were everywhere and a class action lawsuit had been filed within the last month. So, I went ahead and took delivery of the RHO a few days ago. I haven't had it long enough to render an opinion on reliability, but I'm glad I'm out of the Raptor and don't have any greater concern with the RHO engine than I did with the Raptor Ecoboost engine.

Why would anyone trade in a 24 Raptor with the 37 PKG for an RHO?

Well the interior is much nicer imo. And I think the Ram is better looking too. Plus it’s faster:)

It's not worth the gamble to me, since it looks like 2 to 5% of trucks are having issues there's no way to tell the exact %.

If you are in the same town as the selling dealer I would gamble it, buying from Mark or some where far away and dealing with a shitty local dealer is not worth it for me.
