SHOULD I TAKE DELIVERY OR NOT?

I am currently driving a 24 Raptor 37, but before this I drove a 21 TRX which I loved and always wanted another one. When the RHO came out I was excited to go back so I found on this week and I made a deal but have not picked it up. After listening to a video today where they were talking about all the issues with this new motor I am having second thoughts on picking it up. Similar things were said about the TRX when I got it but the only issue I had was a blown shock, other than that it was awesome.
I wonder if the Ram has delivered hundreds or thousands and what the ratio of units delivered to ones with problems, does anyone have any idea?

The big question is should I take the risk and pick it up or wait for the bugs to go away?
Whatever that moron tk says its the opposite. Go get it…

This forum is full of a lot of fanboys clearly. Take a deep breath evaluate your situation. You already have an awesome platform, don't swap it if you're gonna take a loss for an unproven engine with any number of problems.

850 miles and no issues..... I sure hope not, your shit is brand new.

OP already owns a truck. No way I would swap it at this point until the RHO guys keep saying they love it at 30k+ miles.
Most of the people having issues had them really early on (under 500 miles I think). But yeah, brand new and hopefully don’t have any issues for a long ass time.

2200 miles on my RHO, came from a Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3 and Gen 3.5(refreshed 24 R). So far really enjoying it, and enjoy bringing you all videos on this bad boy.
I just wish I had a good dealership around me like you did. I was lucky that Mark Dodge pulled some strings and got me an earlier available appointment at a dealership nearby but of course they do not have loaner vehicles. Lol I’m going to start asking for dealerships to put in writing that they guarantee me a damn loaner car if I have to bring vehicle in for an extended amount of time.

Today is the day on my decision, all of you make great points and I appreciate the input. I am torn, I have not seen the vehicle nor have I driven one. Before this post I paid for the truck but I have not signed any documents, so legally I should be able to back out if I choose.

Based on the comments it sounds like I need to thoroughly look over the truck for flaws, test drive it and make sure it does not hydrolock, make sure I don’t get any check engine lights, and bring a battery charger. lol.

Again thank you for the input….

I bought mine sight on seen before I had driven one. Zero regrets...ensure triple check dealer did PDI.

good idea, yes I am lucky I have a few good Ram dealers by me!

I bought my '20 EcoDiesel limited sight unseen...I ordered it, came in, traded my '17 SRT Grand Cherokee for it...Got behind the wheel driving home and thought "What the f*k did I just do?!!?" That thought passed in about 30 minutes...!
If I go the RHO route..The one thing I will miss, aside from the ivory and blue interior, will be the split-fold tailgate. There is no downside to it...
And btw...You want to read horror stories, start following the EcoDiesel forums. Many, many, like myself, have had an incredible experience with the engine. Others, not so lucky.

I drove my truck 40 miles to work the day I picked it up. Everyone at work wanted to see this vehicle I had been talking about since ordered April 26th. The RHO didn't disappoint, everyone was as impressed as I was with the quality of the interior. Driving on the hwy was ridiculous, 65mph felt like I was doing 20mph. Doing 25mph in town is frustrating cause it feels like you are crawling. 80mph you are barely giving any throttle, it honestly feels like it wants to do Mach 80 all the time. It's also stupid quiet in the cab like your in a hearing exam room lol, well of course not that quiet but compared to every other vehicle I've owned its quiet! Only thing I wish was different was the exhaust sound but my engine isn't broke in yet either. The compare video between the Raptor and the RHO by @Ctech-Review the exhaust sound was the only thing I liked better on the Raptor.

I have never been happier with a major purchase even if it may come with a few bugs that need to be worked out!
