SHOULD I TAKE DELIVERY OR NOT?

Why would anyone trade in a 24 Raptor with the 37 PKG for an RHO?
More power
2 second faster 0-60
much Nicer interior
better styling
wider body
heated steering wheel- (not deleted like alot of gen 3 raptors)
massaging seats
self driving
higher ground clearance
passenger screen
cheaper - with dealer discount, dollar for dollar more features than the raptor.
raptors are common af, every town has 10+, rho are going to be much less available
raptor aluminum body dents much easier
smoother on road ride
quieter cab

and Number one- THE ANNOYING ASS FORD DING WHEN YOU LITERALLY DO ANYTHING. LOl

at the end of the day they are both badass trucks and each person has their own reasons. there are multiple members in this group who sold raptor R for the RHO and like it more, same with TRX. Theres your reason.

Very nice!!

My wife had a guy with a TRX approach her in the parking lot asking about it. He noted it sits taller than his TRX parked next to it. It appears as so in your picture too. Have you noticed that or if its true?

Chris
Yes but just slightly

Not bashing Ford, to each his own. The 8 months I kept my Ford it was OK. Not great and not bad but I never loved the truck by any mean. I also always felt like I had downgraded from my RAM. I'll be glad when my RHO finally gets here, hopefully late next month.

There are RHO advantages that have been documented here. It’s also a 1st model year for RHO, built in a plant with some disengaged & angry employees (though now that Carlos has left, it may be getting better).

If I were in your shoes, I’d go look at the RHO very critically…I mean look at the build quality…I’ve got several factory blemishes (some I noticed at the dealer…most I noticed within a few days of delivery) & I’m not happy with the quality for what I paid. But, yours may be perfect! Or, you might not be a perfectionist.

Let your heart decide…and don’t let the little “it’s a new vehicle, get it!” devil on your shoulder make the decision.

Your videos are awesome my friend keep it up!
Thanks. I'm pretty stoked about a video dropping tomorrow. I had the chief engineer explain the 4WD auto setup and it is way more interesting that most people believe. I scheduled it for 6 am MT tomorrow.

As a former bmw master technician . I enjoyed working on inline 6 engine and ZF transmission for 10 years . I also owned multiple push rod V8 from ford,gm and ram . I do respect the raptor but can’t stand 10 speed trans and v6 eco boost engine . As soon ram came out with the RHO inline 6 and ZF tranny I ordered one right away . Trading my 22 Laramie as soon my truck arrives .

You are SPOT on...Sterling Heights plant went (and might have some residual hanging around) through issues with morale, absenteeism etc throughout the union contract and elections...Now that Carlos is collecting unemployment, one can only hope the plant, and its employees can resume building a solid vehicle.

My wife has a 3.0 inline six in her Defender. Engine puts out 400 very smooth hp....Can't argue the merits of an inline six, regardless of the fuel in the tank.

Looking forward to that. 4WD Auto has been out for many years on American pickups. The 1st I ever saw was in a Chevy back in the late 90s.

BUT 4WD Auto in TRX and RHO is very different. I found the transfer case model# when the RHO was annnounced and went to ZF for specs on its operation. It will be interesting to see what the Ram “chief engineer” says.

Same here also own RR sport with inline 6 . It’s either an American v8 or inline 6 in my garage 😆

I am currently driving a 24 Raptor 37, but before this I drove a 21 TRX which I loved and always wanted another one. When the RHO came out I was excited to go back so I found on this week and I made a deal but have not picked it up. After listening to a video today where they were talking about all the issues with this new motor I am having second thoughts on picking it up. Similar things were said about the TRX when I got it but the only issue I had was a blown shock, other than that it was awesome.
I wonder if the Ram has delivered hundreds or thousands and what the ratio of units delivered to ones with problems, does anyone have any idea?

The big question is should I take the risk and pick it up or wait for the bugs to go away?
Given my experience, I’d say keep Raptor for another year. I’ve had my truck a whopping 3 days now and every warning light has come on and now the check engine light is on. I had two TRX’s and every gen Raptor. Traded my 23 Raptor for this and now I totally miss the Raptor. Had it totally set up how I wanted too, lol. Now if this truck acted right I’d be happy. Should also be noted that I never had any issues with my TRX’s.

I have had mine for 2 days and less than 200 miles, but no issues and it is great.

Haaa...I get it...My last 10 daily drivers have been either v8s or diesels. Really have to work on getting used to the sound. I have a decent number on a Raptor R order at the moment, but just don't think the rest of the truck, aside from the engine, justifies that kinda cake.
