For those of you getting the seemingly conflicting information where "I called RAM and they said scheduled" vs "dealer says still in D status," what you're experiencing is two-fold.
1. If you're speaking with someone who will not give you their actual phone number to call back, OR emailing/chatting with someone whose name is not in their email address, you are likely not speaking with someone who has any further reach in information than the consumer facing tracking website. Let me guess, is it "heather" or "emzy" and their email says "this address is unmonitored." This may be a combination of bot, human, humanoid, pre-scheduled email batches, macros, etc.
SOLUTION: Sometimes, the answer that you're in D status, confirmed, with Vin #, but no further information IS actually, literally, the answer. That's the end of the answer. There is no more answer. If you can see your order on the consumer site, and your dealer can see it in dealerconnect, there is a 99% chance that this is the end of your information.
2. RAM terminology does not match up with what the general public would interpret from the same set of words. In the alphabetic list of status, both C & D are called "scheduled." D1 is actually in the category of "production." This is why you're getting a response that says "scheduled" which is TRUE for their terminology, but is not matching your expectations. Go back and watch the Pickup Truck Talk video where he says he got a message that his truck was "in production" guess what, it wasn't actively being produced, it was in D1 at the time (it's not, currently). Here's an analogy: How big is a 2x4? It's not two inches by four inches. It's not almost two inches by four inches. It's 25% inaccurate if your expectation was that it is two inches by four inches. Sounds crazy if you're not used to it, but that is exactly how the entire lumber & construction industry refers to that piece of wood. Likewise, "scheduled" in Ramspeak internally doesn't mean that it is written on a calendar, rather it is more to do with nothing standing in the way of it being manufactured (customer, build, and dealer have all passed the green light).
SOLUTION: In this case, since they have ALSO been moving batches in and out of D1, really not a whole lot matters until you are in E, F, G, etc. If your status starts with a B or Z, you have cause for concern.
This is a screenshot from an email chain yesterday, where I asked someone in the supply chain area of Ram (who is actually who we deal with on sold orders mostly) I said "NOT being facetious…. When RAM uses the term SCHEDULED what does that mean actually."
