I am in the exact same boat. RAM case manager sent me an email yesterday saying mine is “assigned for production”, but tracker still says order confirmed.
Yeah, been getting that line from my 'case specialist' for about 6 weeks now. Still waiting for any change to show up...

How long did it take for them to call you back with the info? I called them a couple of weeks ago and they said they'll get back to me the following week but I haven't heard anything.
They say they will update every two weeks. That is what they have been doing for the last six weeks, give or take a few days. I get update by email. This is the first time the update said this. Called dealer today and they still show D. Not sure what is going on. All I know at this point is RAM customer service SUCKS!

For those of you getting the seemingly conflicting information where "I called RAM and they said scheduled" vs "dealer says still in D status," what you're experiencing is two-fold.

1. If you're speaking with someone who will not give you their actual phone number to call back, OR emailing/chatting with someone whose name is not in their email address, you are likely not speaking with someone who has any further reach in information than the consumer facing tracking website. Let me guess, is it "heather" or "emzy" and their email says "this address is unmonitored." This may be a combination of bot, human, humanoid, pre-scheduled email batches, macros, etc.

SOLUTION: Sometimes, the answer that you're in D status, confirmed, with Vin #, but no further information IS actually, literally, the answer. That's the end of the answer. There is no more answer. If you can see your order on the consumer site, and your dealer can see it in dealerconnect, there is a 99% chance that this is the end of your information.

2. RAM terminology does not match up with what the general public would interpret from the same set of words. In the alphabetic list of status, both C & D are called "scheduled." D1 is actually in the category of "production." This is why you're getting a response that says "scheduled" which is TRUE for their terminology, but is not matching your expectations. Go back and watch the Pickup Truck Talk video where he says he got a message that his truck was "in production" guess what, it wasn't actively being produced, it was in D1 at the time (it's not, currently). Here's an analogy: How big is a 2x4? It's not two inches by four inches. It's not almost two inches by four inches. It's 25% inaccurate if your expectation was that it is two inches by four inches. Sounds crazy if you're not used to it, but that is exactly how the entire lumber & construction industry refers to that piece of wood. Likewise, "scheduled" in Ramspeak internally doesn't mean that it is written on a calendar, rather it is more to do with nothing standing in the way of it being manufactured (customer, build, and dealer have all passed the green light).

SOLUTION: In this case, since they have ALSO been moving batches in and out of D1, really not a whole lot matters until you are in E, F, G, etc. If your status starts with a B or Z, you have cause for concern.

This is a screenshot from an email chain yesterday, where I asked someone in the supply chain area of Ram (who is actually who we deal with on sold orders mostly) I said "NOT being facetious…. When RAM uses the term SCHEDULED what does that mean actually."

Amazing how they can take a pretty simple process in theory and complicate it. It's almost like listening to a politician speak. Bill Clinton comes to mind for some reason. 🤔

Dang! I was so close to ask heather to go on a date, turned out she was a robot :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the info Anthony. I am slowly accepting the fact that my vehicle will be delivered later next year, which is fine.

Well if you asked Heather on a date in October, shed be ready to go.... sadly if you asked her back in April or may... she'd say she'd get back to you sometime and let you know

how can you even say it is a "pretty simple process" with a straight face?

there are thousands of parts that have to come together from all over the world before production/assembly of the truck can even start.

The "process" here is communicating what the state of your truck order is at a given time. Not building the truck.

Placing order last time I checked is a pretty simple task. At least to me anyway.

I'm thinking the tracker is behind i ordered my level 1 hydro blue through the uaw lease program on Sept 23 on Oct 4th it was built i have pictures of it but on the tracker it said it was built Oct 24th and my expected delivery was Nov 8th but now it says tbd so I know there are more built sitting in I status waiting to go through bsr and calibration's so hopefully it won't be long for everyone

The tracker isn't behind, it's completely detached from reality. It's behind for some, ahead for others. May as well ask a magic 8-ball. What's odd is that dealers can see the real status, so the information exists, Ram just either a) chooses to obfuscate it from the customer for [reasons], or b) decided to set up an entirely separate fictional system. Neither makes a whole lot of sense.

They'd be far better off to not offer the tracker and have people go through their salesperson for updates.

Yea just stinks sitting in your truck and ya have to wait for months possibly for it to leave go to a dealer just to get it they do some goofy stuff here
