Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking alerts triggered

But a “known” issue with who? Dealerships or RAM? My RHO will be one of the first to hit my dealers service department so they won’t have any experience with it. I hope they contact RAM so they can provide this dealer with the “known” fix.

As you can read above from RADA, they didn’t replace anything so not sure dealers are aware of this known issue.
Guessing dealers are not widely aware of these issues. If they are, they are being quiet. Can you blame them? They have lots of ‘25 1500s & RHOs to sell.

Stellantis is a huge corporation. Guessing everyone at Stellantis is not aware of the module issue. And, it seems not all ‘25 trucks have these issues (yet?).

It appears the only way to thoroughly troubleshoot is to tear down the truck and test communication between ALL the modules. Not a fast or practical solution.

If you find a dealer willing to go down that rabbit hole, know they will probably stop looking when they find the 1st problem as they won’t get paid to go any further. Will there be more bad modules? Who knows…

Well if that happens stellantis/ram is going to be in a world of hurt because I don't know how many people will be ok with this outcome (having their $80k+ truck in the shop for weeks to get it back with no real certainty on a fix, especially after they have to rip apart the car to test/swap out parts). I know I would sell the truck in a heartbeat if this happened to me and I'd imagine a bunch of others would do the same. Now, if this is a pervasive issue and found on all 2025 models...Stellantis will be in a world of hurt and they would lose a lot of customers who would likely move to a different manufacturer.

Good news is after 3 weeks of my truck being in the shop, apparently a replacement module showed up today and I may have my truck back as early as tomorrow.

Like many of you, I was getting the Blind spot monitoring and emergency braking alerts, so I’ll let you know if this is the fix.

Are they replacing one or two modules? Let us know the result asap. Fingers crossed for you.

Edit: Let us know the result after a few hundred miles. Ha! It may be fine for the ride home, but that doesn’t mean it’s fixed, right?

Mine is still at the dealer waiting on a 2nd module, scheduled to arrive at the central parts depot on 3/31, which means they have no idea when it will show up. Last day of the month is just a “place holder” for additional follow-up by the parts counter, I have learned. Could show up tomorrow, or 3 months from now. Ram is at the mercy of the component manufacturer.

My truck had those alerts when the app started working while in final inspection. They must have been waiting on the updated modules i would assume since it was stuck there 3 months. Installed them and sent it on my way. Now that its shipped no codes and healthy:D

Same here - been in inspection since 1/28 (still there). Hoping that all of these various issues are being addressed before delivery which is TBD. Snippet of my Unconnect Vehicle Health report that I can receive but don't have the truck.

Truck back home yet? Any updates?

Calling dealer tomorrow to see if my 2nd module has actually arrived in MI.

Add one more to the blind spot monitoring alert issue...

Now, every morning (or every first drive) the alert comes on and the lights on the mirrors are on (annoying, especially at night) and will stay inop for the entirety of my first trip. Once I get back in the truck after a Buc-ees stop (or whatever), the BSM is functioning again and will remain active until I get back in the next morning

Was thinking about swapping out the aux battery just for the hell of it to see if that does anything, but as I was reading here it seems as it might be a module after all.

To reiterate, my ONLY issue is the Blind Spot Monitoring so unsure if that is it's own separate module or if now I can impatiently wait for other sensors to malfunction

The BSM issue began at 3300 miles

Mine was just the aux battery being dead, hasn't came back since the battery's where swapped and it's been a few weeks (knock on wood).

I noticied the in bed cargo light was on when i was doing a dump run, since I have the cover, i wonder if that darn thing has been on the whole time.

I'm going to buy a new Duralast Platinum AUX 14 today (before a week long trip in the truck tomorrow) and see if that does it.

Will report back

When I brought my vehicle back for the 3rd time for BSM & AEB, the 1st thing they did was install new batteries. Didn’t work for my truck, but it must work for some or they would not have done it.

Just dropped mine off for BSM/ AEB. Keep everyone posted on what they find. Service advisor mentioned a decision module that may be faulty but they will do a full evaluation including checking grounds, wiring harness, etc.

Got my truck back and waited to drive 250 miles before posting here

After the module replacement, there have been no more Blind spot monitoring etc alerts anymore!!

This is clearly a widespread problem and I think RAM should issue a recall for all trucks affected. Something tells me they are trying to sweep this under the rug for now… regardless, replacing the module was the fix

Just got a call from dealer and they haven’t found anything, but they opened a case with RAM to see what they say tomorrow. Hopefully they tell them what to replace.

Which module did they replace? The central adas module?

This is from the paperwork I got back. Maybe it will help your dealership out

From AI:

“The "CADM module" refers to the Central ADAS Decision Module, a critical component in modern vehicle Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) that makes decisions about lane centering and other functions.”

I wonder if this will also fix the roadway grade compensation of the EPS? Hope so. It will make “hands-free cc” more pleasant.

Picked up my truck this afternoon. The tech couldn’t find the cause so they opened a case with RAM and they called them back this morning. RAM told them to load test both batteries (both passed) and also check various grounds because they are “aware of known corrosion issues.” Sure enough, the ground they told them to check was heavily corroded along with three others.

I had various stored codes just like xkpgx81 had plus more. They fixed the corroded grounds, went on a road test and all codes cleared and never came back.

I then asked the service manager about the modules other dealers are replacing and he said it could be an “unnecessary replacement” of modules because the normal process after replacing modules is to check and clean grounds. So it’s possible that it is just the ground, not the module.

The specific ground associated with this module is G803A as noted on the service report.

I find it extremely frustrating that RAM doesn’t tell dealers to check and fix “known issues” before a customer takes delivery of an $80k truck.

Time will tell if this was the actual fix, but so far so good.

“Heavy corroded” grounds! Sounds like a 15 year old truck that was stored near saltwater, no?

I’ve seen gold plating on critical electronics grounds on most modern vehicles since the mid-90s. What material is Stellantis using?

Thanks for sharing the details with us.

Do you live in an environment where corrosion is common? Like, heavily salted roadways?

No, I live in central NC so not a corrosive environment.
