Battery Dead

Man that's INSANE they can't see you until 12/30, what a crock of shit! Not all dealers are like MD, that's for sure. I cannot even begin your frustration level.
Its out of my control...at least that's what I tell myself, love everything else about the truck. If I have no more dead batteries I'll be just fine

Didn't get a video, but basically would idle at 12.8volts, then when letting off the gas it would go up to 14.3 and slowly drop back down to 13 as I applied throttle

Just bought 2 new batteries, the main battery is an H7 agm, the smaller I will look up the receipt, but also an agm.

Truck is now idling at 14.5 volts! Going to keep it off the battery tender tonight and see what happens now that the app is deleted and new batteries.
That’s good news! I ran mine today. Seemed to want to stay around 12.9V, but went as low as 12.7V and as high as 14.1V, while coasting.

Well, deleting the Ram app was not the “silver bullet” on mine. I was hoping it was just a voltage issue. Fully charged both batts, turn on “lane keep assist” and I got 12 miles before my dash lit up with warnings…primarily something about “forward collision warning limited functionality, service required”. After that, my lane change warning triangles stayed illuminated.

I really don’t want to leave it at a dealer for 4+ days for a fix…just asking for trouble. Somebody will ding it. Or worse…

In looking around my engine bay today, I found some more janky assembly crap. The rumors of an angry, disengaged workforce at SHAP are proving true. Hopefully they can get things back on track with new leadership. The truck is NICE, but I really wish the quality was there so I could recommend it to family & friends.

That's good to know you are enjoying it. Sure hope they figure these little annoyances out quickly.

Curious. Do most of you guys with the battery issues live in cold weather?

Nope, not me. But, my primary issue is not the batteries, at least not since PDI.

I had the app on my phone.

Update time: All seems well. I deleted the app from my phone two days ago, got two new batteries yesterday, and the car started right up today with no charger hooked up overnight. The voltage was a constant 14.4/14.5 for my entire drive this morning.

It was in the high 20's overnight, so the weather didn't seem to effect anything.

Hoping my issue was the app on the phone and this is all behind me. Hopefully this is the solution.

Also, found the battery tray had sitting water I'm it, picture was after i used a towel to dry it up, still a little damp and found these two bolts sitting in the battery tray
I wonder where those bolts were supposed to go? They look heavy duty & covered in thread lock. Maybe something important? Hope everything else is bolted together correctly.

Can you take a photo of the wire harness connector in front of your brake booster? It’s blocked by the ECM in your previous photo of the battery.

Either post here or send me a private message. I need to see if yours looks similar to mine.

Any of these work?

So just heard from the logistics manager with mark dodge and my truck is stuck at Port Allen for going on 3 weeks now because they can't get it to start up. I guess they can't load it up on a trailer to get it to the dealership to change out the batteries because I'm assuming the batteries are dead?

That would piss me off.. it’s like them saying you have to wait a month because you have a flat tire.

What are you trying to figure put?
Trying to see where my power running board wires were run. Think I figured it out.

Somebody didn’t properly reinstall the harness connector dust cover. Knew something wasn’t right. But, it’ll get fixed.

Thanks again.
