What's new

I have a a scheduled date!

Since we are talking about other vehicles, does anybody know what the difference is? Between the Rebel GT and the Rebel X The only thing is clear is that the rebel x comes with sunroof.
I think more of appearance package, that's it.

Pay to Play for Mojave

If it came with the HO hurricane then a rebel could be an option, just would have to spend a lot to get the suspension upgraded to Carli

That V8 Duramax is a gem of an engine! You will love it.

As for the rest of the truck…well, seats kinda suck for long trips (foam is stiff & too thin)…ride is a bit harsh unless loaded, especially of you get the model with the DSSV shocks…and, it’s GM…I almost bought a 2024 2500 Duramax ZR2…turns out the early trucks’ right cab side were not welded correctly…resolution involved the dealer stripping down the interior and fixing the welds (HA!)…typical GM BS.

That’s why I’ll wait for RHO.
I drive a Trail Boss with the 3.0 duramax at the moment. I like it, and the fuel mileage is good, but I currently have a cracked radiator on it, and it's also a little on the weak side. I'm snake bit no matter the brand I've come to accept I will have issues. I've owned pretty every brand except a Nissan and have had problems with all of them of some type. If I abused the trucks, I would understand, but I seldom tow and never go off road. My choice of vehicles is the RHO, but I need it before the end of the year and hopefully will get it.

Agreed, I drove a 19 Power wagon for a few years .. Awesome truck, really hard to beat for the $$
Yea I had a 17,19, and 21 power wagon each time they got more and more expensive and obviously more features. Just did a nationwide search for a 75th anniversary model and could only find 2, granted that was using the filter of brown interior so if they marked it black then it wouldn't show up.

OK guys, I need someone to talk me off the ledge here. I stopped by my local RAM dealer this afternoon and sure enough they just got in a trade. Its a 22 TRX Level 2 Package in Billet Silver with Pano, non-beadlock wheels, already tinted windows, AND it already has the IGLA and Drone package. Basically the same thing I ordered on the RHO plus a few add-ons. I'd be sacrificing the massage seats, the 14" UConnect, and the "new" truck mental and physical traits, not to mention the gas mileage. The truck has only 7,400 miles on it and I can grab it for $83K out the door. Do I just buy it and cancel my RHO order? Do I buy it and try to sell it once the RHO comes in? or do I walk away and just keep waiting and hoping the RHO is everything as promised and actually shows up this year? HELP!!!!

Get them to throw the extended warranty on there for 83 and get it.... that's what I'd do anyways

At a glance I'm seeing same year, more mileage, without level 2 for mid to high 80s. Sounds like a great deal, but I don't actually have a recommendation. My son asked me the other day if I would take a TRX over a RHO. It made me realize that previously the TRX was the dream and the RHO was the version I could afford... But that's changed for me. I'd rather have the better fuel economy, new features, and lower cost of the RHO. I want a truck that won't feel guilty driving and taking off road.

That probably doesn't help at all. I'm also fine to wait for the RHO. There's no tax implication on my end.

But that does sound like a great truck at a great price....

If you can live with the fuel economy, get it (with extended warranty, of course).

If you buy & sell/trade, just be prepared to lose some $$. Do you need a vehicle right now?

That's my exact dilemma. I need the tax write-off for 2024, and the TRX also scratches my itch. I would much rather have the RHO for a number of reasons, particularly the gas mileage. My thought would be to buy it and play for a year, then sell it and just order the RHO in year two so I can get the tax credit for next year as well. I'm sure I'd take a hit on the resale, but the tax savings I'd enjoy wash that away. All this would be a non-issue if I was certain the RHO will be delivered before end of 2024.

I can live with the fuel economy for a year or two until I sell it and get the Gen 2 RHO (Probably much more expensive by then). I don't need a car today, but do need to buy something by end of year for tax incentives.

Thanks Anthony. Are they building rebel Xand GT, or it's the same scenario as the RHO

I’m in the same boat as you except I haven’t ordered a truck yet. I’m guessing I’m gonna have to get something else at this point. I’ll probably look at the Lexus GX 550. Never had an SUV before but I like the looks of it and the the write off

I have thought of doing the same thing- currently look at the TRX and it’s tempting for sure. I currently don’t have a vehicle as the insurance just totaled my 19 Tundra. Thing was cherry- had over 10k in mods- it’s hurt for sure and I don’t know if switching to a ram will heal that wound.lol- hoping to have the RHO before the new year, if not- I might just swoop in and by a TRX. What’s the dealers number you’re going through? Jk

Looking at the amount of Rebels that are being built or on lots is ridiculous. Over 1400 I think, would have to go back to the RAM website. Didn't realize they crank out that many vehicles in a little over a months time for one model. I can't see why the RHO couldn't be built that fast. I have been on the fence like some of you looking at other trucks if it doesn't show up by the end of the year. I'm trying to keep the faith!

Limited too!

Im in a unique situation, I can wait my 2018 Sierra only has 40k miles thanks to the company car. So i can wait it out and be better off for it.

On a regular day, they build about 1300-1400 trucks at SHAP. That’s between all DT trims (Tradesman, Bighorn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited, etc). I would have to look up the historic numbers for the past few years, but I’d bet that Rebels are probably on the order of 10% of production (Bighorns are more like 50%). So let’s say 130-140 a day. Based on that, I’d say they probably built more like 3000 in the span of a month.

I'm giving myself until October, before I look at other models. I did inquire about a 2023 TRX Lvl2, pano and a few other options for $83k.

I heard it's a 6 months wait for the GX
