Misfiring after 475 miles

Well. RAM Engineer was unable to identify a cause. They were able to get the second cat delivered so they will install it tomorrow and drive it around while the engineer runs tests that the dealer cannot run. hopefully they can identify a cause then.. more to come, again.

Great news, were they able to see the cause of misfiring? Thanks for the update

@HTX @daniellelaven022 did either of yours make a weird rattling sound while accelerating prior to this? Mine has under 100miles, has been making this sound since I drove it off the lot. It’s not horrible but noticeable.
Mine wasn’t making a noise but when the engine light came on and started flashing i was driving up a hill and when I was giving throttle it clunked into gear I'm assuming from the misfire.

Made the decision to flip out of this vehicle and into my original order. At this point it seems like they are just going to install the cats and move on their way. My original order is on its way to the dealer and should be here next week. I will check on this vehicle in the next week or two to see if there are any findings. Sorry there isn’t better news to share on causation.

Smart decision.. Hopefully you are not losing much on it

Why would you not keep it until (if) the Lemon Law triggers are met and not lose a penny?

Is yours at Helfman (can't remember if we talked about that)?

Mine has been there a week with the same mileage. Driver's automatic door lock inop and flashing odometer (that is possibly related to Mopar power step install)

Sorry about your troubles. Frustrating beyond measure

Understand, for sure. Poor next guy that buys it.
Yes I was surprised that RAM wouldn’t have wanted to take it back to study given it’s happened to at least one other and presumably more to come. It’s not a cheap fix nor does it seem parts are readily available so waiting for a recall seems dumb. Who knows though

Man RAM sure knows how to RAM people right up the ass. Like...WTF over?

I’m taking mine in later this week. It just has a weird sound when accelerating that doesn’t sound good. To me it almost sounds like a mild engine knock/ping, but doesn’t feel like it’s losing power and I don’t have any check engine lights on. Hoping it’s just something something simple. The weird thing is I don’t hear it when in neutral and revving. Only when in gear and accelerating.

Sorry to see this and hope it’s nothing.

How many miles do you have on yours? And how long have you had it?

Picked it up Thursday. 270 miles but it has made this sound since I drove it off the lot. Kept telling myself it was just normal engine noise.

Yea that’s a misfire in my opinion.
