I had over 1k before I started having issuesThe interesting part i see is all the youtube reviewers have had no complaints about dead batteries, service lights or anything else. Tfl did a 1000 mile road trip without issue.
So 7 total on this forum, with more than half of them seeing a fix from cleaning off a sensor, replacing a battery or deleting an app. Really only one person with a major issue it appears like with the melting cats.summary of feedback for those who provided (easier to see in the results sheet) - if you are looking to message other forum members for their experience or suggestionsView attachment 1971
I would highly recommend taking the last 8 of VIN if you're going to collect data.summary of feedback for those who provided (easier to see in the results sheet) - if you are looking to message other forum members for their experience or suggestionsView attachment 1971
It is interesting that all of these issues seem to pop up right around the 500 mile mark. Nothing more to add, really, just an observation.Well I just got hit with a battery pop up even though truck was running. And the service messages for active driving assist. Then noticed idle would bounce a bit.
I’ll fill out the link to help keep track of it and see what it looks like in the morning.
Not a good start. I’m at about 550miles.
Yeah, I noticed that too, hmmIt is interesting that all of these issues seem to pop up right around the 500 mile mark. Nothing more to add, really, just an observation.
@Nitro Can you pin this, even just temporary?
What sensors needed cleaning? The cat p0420 code pops up which could be caused by bad sensors or a bad cat, sounds serious to me. Could the misfires be causing these errors nobody knows? So 7 total on this forum, with more than half of them seeing a fix from cleaning off a sensor, replacing a battery or deleting an app. Really only one person with a major issue it appears like with the melting cats.
So maybe not as Armageddon as it feels has been the recent theme on here?
I cleaned these sensors: the central one I believe is the radar for crash alert and adaptive cruise control. Two others on each side in front of, and one each side in the rear, I believe are part of the blind spot detection. So, in total I cleaned off 7 sensors. They were covered with winter road salt. And by cleaning, I mean licking my finger and wiping off. There was enough salt on them to make a good margarita with. What sensors needed cleaning? Well some of us are having far worse problems including check engine light, misfires etc. Consider yourself very lucky, keep your fingers crossed.I cleaned these sensors: the central one I believe is the radar for crash alert and adaptive cruise control. I’m not sure if the dirty sensors were the culprit of the malfunction warnings, or if it was just coincidence that they went away after I cleaned them. It’s too early to say, given that others have had error warnings spontaneously appear and then disappear with no apparent reason. But I posted to get some data out there and possibly help another member out if it ended up being a viable solution. I”ll update as I continue to add miles to the truck.Well some of us are having far worse problems including check engine light, misfires etc. Consider yourself very lucky, keep your fingers crossed.
Thank youSure thing. I’ve also added a poll, as I thought it would make things more interesting.
Yep made a post about it, bought truck today and 30 miles later engine started vibrating entire truck under the lightest acceleration and then died while on highway. Headlights turned off and engine off. Thankfully was able to roll off to the right with my wife to the side of the highway.Add @Dan G to the YES column, unfortunately. This is getting ridiculous.
These sensors have been around for a while. I’ve never had to “clean them off” on any other vehicle. Pretty much invisible from a problem perspective.I’m not sure if the dirty sensors were the culprit of the malfunction warnings, or if it was just coincidence that they went away after I cleaned them. I have had similar alerts on my 2015 Grand Cherokee and on my 2020 Rebel, both due to ice/slush caked on them in the winter. Albeit only once or twice on each previous vehicle. These sensors have been around for a while. I’ve never had to “clean them off” on any other vehicle. The sensors on my girlfriends 2023 Grand Cherokee are constantly squawking and unavailable. Pretty much any time it rains or any sort of weather. These sensors have been around for a while. I’ve never had to “clean them off” on any other vehicle. Pretty much invisible from a problem perspective.
