Percentage of RHOs with issues?

To all my RHO people having issues with your trucks, this thread is not to downplay the misery of having a brand new $80K+ vehicle with issues...

Stellantis/RAM need to address these issues, without doubt.

I'm a Data & Systems Analyst by trade. Everything I do is based on numbers.

I'm trying to gather data on what percentage of RHOs are having issues, vs. trucks that are problem free.

Say we have 300 members here...

If 75 of us are having issues with our trucks, that's 25% of the group. That would be very significant.

But, if RAM sold 5,000 trucks in the same time frame, and 250 (including our 75) are having issues, that's only 5% of trucks sold are experiencing problems.

I haven't picked up my truck yet. I'm just as anxious as everyone else at the thought of this $80k+ investment turning into a service cow. But I'm also trying to temper my anxiety with facts and knowledge.

I'm still hopeful that RAM will sort out all issues as quickly as possible.

If RAM doesn't solve these issues, we need help each other with Lemon Law data. Copies of service records for more that one vehicle with the same problem goes a long way.

I'm here for the long haul.
 
Picked up on the 23rd, about 300 miles with no issues. Note, I did notice some odd idling last night after it was running for a while but haven't noticed it since.
 
Picked up Dec 20th, dead battery at around 400 miles on Dec 26th. Jumped the truck but all codes are on the dash. Drove fine with all the codes but drove it 30 miles to the dealer for diagnosis

Safe to say - the data also values input from those who arent having issues ... so good to hear from those lucky ones too. Ill post back summary info if this gets traction / responses. maybe even build a search so guys can find their issues and forum members with info/recommendations

The interesting part i see is all the youtube reviewers have had no complaints about dead batteries, service lights or anything else. Tfl did a 1000 mile road trip without issue.
 
I would love to have my truck, as it shipped 11/20, arrived at the port 11/30, but has been sitting there since and can't be delivered to Mark Dodge because of the dead battery issue. I guess if you can't start it up to get it onto the trailer for delivery to the dealership it just sits there until the port gets with Ram to have them fix the issue.

Seriously I feel like at this point I've must have watched over a dozen youtubers review videos on the RHO and everyone speaks of the build quality especially with the interior in comparison to other trucks.

Its amazing MD cant do anything to help
 
They said the port has their own rep with Ram that the port has to deal with to get it delivered to MD. At this point they can't give me an ETA of when it'll be delivered. Most likely next year because of the holidays. But tomorrow is one month of it being at the port.

This (along with dozens of other stories on this forum alone) underscores, bolds, and capitalizes how broken the manufacturer-dealer system is for automotive sales.

Believe me, the last thing RAM wants is a bunch of negative publicity regarding lemon vehicles, that will tank their profits.

This is our strength.

BUT...

We need to be meticulous with our records.

I don't even have my truck, and I already have a folder on my home desk just for it.

My father-in-law is an attorney.

His favorite statement is, "A verbal statement/contract is only as good as the paper it's written on."

EVERY time you go in for service, try to get everything discussed in writing.

HINT:
Get your service rep's email address. While waiting for service or within minutes of speaking to them (so you don't forget), send them an "in reference" email.
BCC a copy to your spouse/partner/or alternate email address.
BE POLITE! I don't care if your truck explodes on the service drive; just be polite.
Your maturity and level-headedness will go a long way if you ever need to go down the Lemon Law road..

This email is in reference to our earlier conversation on <DATE:TIME>

We discussed <ISSUE 1>, and <ISSUE 2>.
You mentioned <SOLUTION 1>, / <COMPENSATION 1>,/ <BENEFIT 1>
