What's new

Media Test Drives Are Out (MT, C&D, R&T, etc..)!!!

Again, not the point. Sure a alot of people would be happy with what was posted . Same deal as if they said 27 for a limited but its 21 now. Agree 100% I think it may be an awesome truck. Part of reason some didnt question the initial rating was its a new motor in a 1500 and did look at it as a typo.

But i get it that. Most guys didnt look at much better gas mileage as a big win. Some did.
It's this. If it was posted as 14/16 I'd still have ordered it. Advertising as 15/21 or whatever it was and then it being 14/16 is the problem.

Am I cancelling my order or even considering it? No. Is it kinda gross business? Yep.

Yeah the milage isnt a big deal to us. Heck our Laramie only has 36k miles and its a 2019. As long at it can still get about 12.5mpg while towing our boat Ill be happy. Ill miss the sound of the V8 but we have a modded LS Trans AM Vert and a 550hp 363 in our 66 Mustang. So I think we will be ok

Chris

I just assumed ram screwed up and i never took that number serious. Once the epa number came out then it made much more sense
Same, I assumed that was for the standard Hurricane trucks.

I must say those who feel slightly “let down”by the reviews…seeing every video test of the RHO going airborne…meh. Don’t care.

One of the things I enjoyed most about my last Ram (‘15 R/T with muffler delete pipe) was the obnoxious V8 exhaust noise. It was big & comfy & loud. I should have gotten a TRX before the prices got crazy & said “to hell with the fuel economy”. But, I didn’t.

Still thinking the RHO will make a comfy, long range cruiser with more than enough off-road capability to reach the trailheads my wife, dog & I enjoy hiking. But, I will miss that V8.

Most of the reviews inah e seen is only the complaint of the V8 and the sound. Neither one of those were the reason I ordered the RHO.
Exactly, I have a TRX in the driveway and it’s not going anywhere, I didn’t order the RHO expecting the same sound as the TRX. I was getting frustrated with how long the process has been taking with this truck, but after riding in an RHO at the Texas state fair I was sold, I know everyone is just going off the video, but I promise it’s worth the wait. Shoot the guy driving said he enjoyed driving the RHO more so than the TRX, he said you could just feel how much more nimble it was.

And then you have douches like this guy who just don’t get that…..

This guy has to know what he is talking about, those janky vertical blinds behind him proves he makes good life choices. Like dude.....thats the food stamp version of a window covering.

I was thinking the same damn thing…..🤣

The majority of the bad reviews, the content creators don't ever mention it was the gov cafe standards that killed the hemi and the trx. Everyone just wants to blame ram(stellantis)

That’s cold bro

I'm excited for when these start to get delivered to see people test them in the real world, doing off-road track laps vs. Raptor and TRX, drag races and all the fun stuff.

I’m excited for the hurricane engine and what it can do. I’m buying the truck for the whole package and I still think it’s the best in class for the price. I won’t miss the hellcat because I have one in my 70 challenger 😂

That’s awesome. Post up some videos of that! Would love to see it

Someone come talk some sense into me. Currently have a 2020 raptor in the driveway that i love, ordered the rho back in may and zero movement. Ive been seeing alot of TRX in mint condition pop up locally for a similar price. sub 30k miles and fully loaded. DO i cave and buy a mint TRX now and forget about the RHO until 2026 and they figure out the issues or just be patient? My main hang up is i dont want to sell my raptor in the dead of winter in montana and thats likely when my RHO MAY show up LOL. I truly think the RHO will be the perfect truck for me with the but getting tired of waiting and dont want to have my truck plagued by endless warranty work on the huricane and not be able to drive it VS the TRX is a proven power plant. ALl of the local dealerships are months out on getting anything done. Bozeman BS. I love the trx and have almost bought quite a few but just stuck with the raptor cuz its a great truck plus the wife and i were buying our house at the time. Might just buy the trx and then sell it when the RHO shows up. who knows.

So, a few of things. Firstly, selling your Raptor in the dead of winter shouldn't be that bad. Carvana, Carmax, or something like that if you can't sell. Secondly, I don't think it will be that easy selling a TRX for what you paid for it, once the RHO comes out. There is a reason "a lot of TRX" are popping up in your area at a low price point. People are trying to get rid of those things before the RHOs get to dealers. Thirdly, I wouldn't worry excessively about warranty work being needed on the RHO. The high output is out in other trims. The engine is solid.

Just wait and get a brand-new truck and love it. I ordered on May 8 and I haven't moved at all either. But it's the holidays, which fly by. And hopefully, by February, I'll be in my RHO. Good luck.

Excellent video review. It's in Spanish but translate if needed.

Buy the TRX. Look for clean car faxes, dealer maintenance history, and low idle time in the driver settings.
