RHO range and MPG

Ahh I see. All things tech and equipment being the same if the TRX was updated would you guys still get the RHO?
Probably, because similarly appointed TRX would be $120k-$130k. Look at Final Edition prices on the 2024 TRX's. Then add a bit more for all of the tech and updates.
Mine is a daily driver, so the additional cost would still keep my at the RHO.

Also, the quietness of the RHO is so much better for fatigue resistance. The soundtrack is amazing w the TRX. But you feel it at the end of the drive. I can drive my Mercedes or Mazda for hours without issue. My Mustang…I can do it too but I’m not feeling the same by any measure.

Just my 2 cents.

No because that would be significantly more than I'm willing to pay for a vehicle.

Did my first decent length driving today. Back roads and through towns (so averaging 55-60mph with some periods of stop and go 25mph) just over 100 miles the computer calculated the trip at exactly 15.0 MPG. Total odometer reading for me right now is 202 miles.

Ambient temps were 25°F, but this was the original gas from Mark Dodge so not winter gas.

What are you getting hand calc vs truck puter? I'm seeing slightly over 1 mpg less with hand calc?

I'll keep you posted. I haven't had to put any fuel in and want to start my calcs at that point.

We are only averaging 11.3 since purchase according to the onboard guesstimater but we do mostly city driving.

This thread helped a lot. Like everyone said, don't buy this truck if you're worried about MPG. I had Koons order me a 2500 Cummins now instead so my RHO will be available when it comes in shortly.

I drove across the US... from Oregon to Alabama going through California and across via I-20 and I-10. With 91 octane I was getting mid 13's with 93 octane the economy jumped to 14.3mpg. This was all freeway driving at 75-80mph. Truck has 3,600 miles on it now.

I've seem to level out at 11.8 - 11.9 mpg for city driving while being throttle and RPM aware of my driving.

That's incredible. I'm sending my oil away for analysis as I suspect that whomever let it idle for 10 hours before I picked it up didn't do me any favors on break-in.

fill those rear floorboard storage bins up with Fuel (unless you're a rum-runner like @testerdahl during prohibition) .... maybe thats the option they can offer with "level 2" .... no passenger screen and a spare tank up front.

How has that not been on my radar for next mod? Tequilla bottle holder behind passenger screen.😁

Anyone have a pic of how the under seat storage is supposed to work? I clearly failed origami class because it makes little sense to me. Is there a drawer or organization system that can fit there?

Not here. 12.1 according to the computer. I don’t care. I love this truck!
Same here. 12.1. I never thought I’d say this but I’m not sad about it, it’s a blast! It’ll get better once they break in some I’m sure.

yea that under-seat storage is a bit odd ... seems like you can un-origami fold that retaining bar, if you need to .... I can say - they didnt have that piece in the 2020 models .... and its nice to have something that retains stuff from rolling forward (bottle of your choice) .... but its functionality is rather limited.

Something to note - it will get better fuel economy when it warms up. As far as break in - I dropped the oil after the PDI and put in a fresh 7 quarts of 0w-40 Pennzoil. I'll be changing it here shortly... it has 3,600 miles on the current oil. Keep it fresh!

Anyone know what RAM used for break-in oil? Since putting in 7.5 of the good stuff there was one thing I noticed immediately, the pressure seems same but factory oil took a long while to get up to temp, whereas the amsoil 0w40 gets to temp and ready to rock in no time.
