The Great Running Board Dilemma

I love them! I like the looks, and they're wide enough for ease of entry and to provide some protection against door dings. Also in theory, they can protect the rocker panes and lower doors from debris, by blocking some of it. I actually like the looks the truck of them as opposed to without them. I know some people are in love with the powered running boards, but I like the esthetics of these better, and I know that these won't malfunction or have issues with install!! Let's face it: who needs one more potential problem with these trucks!!!

Totally agree that the truck looks better with the off road ones compared to the power running boards! Just was not sure if they did the job as well. They are low enough for easy entrance for the ladies? Wife is 5’3”. Wide enough for big feet? Talking about mine not hers! Lol.. Had power running boards on my last truck(F-150) and they worked great. But when they were retracted the truck looked bare.

Thanks again for the photos, helped me with my decision.

You're Welcome! I totally agree that the truck looks wimpy without them!!
They are about 7" wide, so I think they're plenty wide. And I measure 17.5' from the ground to the step.

My wife is 5 and she got no problems and loves them. Before she was hopping on to a lifted jeep with no steps :ROFLMAO:

Sounds good! Now if my truck can get out of production I will order them up.

Good to hear! Bet she is a much happier wife now than with the lifted jeep!

I got the offroad boards for the body protection... not to mention I live in the wasteland that is ND, and every other set of power boards are stuck down in the winter up here.

I've searched but didnt find any results - do TRX steps fit the RHO? (non powered, just the regular mopar steps)

Power Running Boards!!! This truck is HIGH... I'm 6'6" and use these faithfully to get in. If you don't have running boards you'll be grabbing the handle and the steering wheel to get in

I've read that the factory RHO/TRX off road running boards sit +/- 17.5" off the ground. Do these offer the most height/clearance or are there some aftermarket fixed running boards that offer a little bit more? Want to go with something similar to the factory off roads but want to get the most ground clearance that I can.

Do you know the correct part number for the 2025?

Could you share a few pictures of your truck with the power boards? I am convinced it is a better option for me, but still not sure about the look, does it look like the truck is missing something? I've have ordered a black truck. thanks

I had power boards on last truck because they tucked can't stand steps that protrude that's my preference of course.

I feel like it gives the truck a clean look when they're up and tucked away

I’m curious for anyone what has steps but no mudflaps if it’s helping protect the sides much. I’m debating if I need the mudflaps. They seem like they would help a lot but not too sure if I will be okay with the looks. We get a lot of gravel kicked up on the freeways up in Arizona and don’t want the side of my truck to be chipped up.

been curious about the same ... if my RB20s come in this week ill let you know (no mudflaps) .... we got good snow/muck/ - easy to see whats hitting the body .... being my first "fat ass" truck, the rear wheel fenders are catching more than standard body trucks
